Pakistani food is spicier (though not necessarily hotter) than Indian food with slight differences in the spices used. Al Noor offers both Indian and Pakistani food, but I was there for the Pakistani food (having eaten Indian food all my life). What a great discovery. Al Noor is in a slightly seedy part of Lawndale, is quite small (roughly 10... More

I discovered this Pakistani restaurant back in 1999, when one of my Pakistani college buddies took me there for lunch. Since, I have been back countless times and introduced dozens of friends to it. I've seen this place grow over the years, deservingly so. The food is fresh and tasty. Their naan bread is fresh and delicious (plain, onion, garlic -... More

I have been going to Al Noor Pakistani Restaurant for years. It is very small and not great decor- OK...the ambience is pretty bad--- BUT.....the food ROCKS! I thought this was my own little discovery until the place doubled in size (still small). My favorite dishes are the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan bread, the Alu Pollak, and Alu... More

Unlike many competitors, Al-Noor has kept on going for years. I'll go there at the drop of a hat.

The vegetarian fare is truly exceptional - great overall variety. The mutton was pretty gross though.

I am not into spicy food but this place rocked my world. I thought their chicken masala and spinach dishes were the best. The owner even talked to us to tell us about Pakistani food and its history. We saw the place where they cook the Naan bread. It was a great cultural lesson. I have gone back since. If... More

After i saw the show called 'The Best Thing I ever ate' on Food network featuring this restaurant, I wanted to give it a shot. From outside it's look like a rinky dinky restaurant but boy was I ever wrong abut the food. I ordered the Chicken tikka masaka and garlic naan which everyone was raving about and I am... More
