Description: The Tavern at Lark Creek represents the next chapter in the life of the historic, circa 1888 Victorian Murphy House; a Larkspur landmark. Designed to appeal to diners looking for value, fun and great ambiance, The Tavern at Lark Creek seeks to capture the more casual feel diners look for today. High-backed cherry chairs and period oak tables surround a grand Carrera marble-topped table beneath a giant skylight, providing lots of great seating options for parties both large and small in the main dining room. Oak tables fill the cozy bar, which offers artisanal cocktails and wines from our proprietary tap system. The wood oven has been renewed, along with the garden. A dramatic lighted display case in the entryway welcomes diners. Chef Aaron Wright and Culinary Director Adrian Hoffman’s menu focuses on value, while remaining true to farm-to-table sensibilities.

I have been to the Tavern at Lark Creek, Lark Creek Walnut Creek, The Lark Creek Grill and LarkCreek steak. I have never had a disappointing experience. Every time I've gone, the service, food and atmosphere were all top notch. You can't go wrong with any of these fine restaurants!

This is my favorite restaurant for a special occasion (like my birthday). Nice atmosphere, great service, and most importantly really good food. Worth the money.

My husband proposed to me at Inn at Lark Creek 24 years ago and we have returned on a number of occasions. This year we had family commitments on Valentine's Day so decided to go to Lark Creek the Tuesday before as we were also attending the Boz Scaggs concert at the MArin Civic Center. The staff was extraordinarily friendly... More

I grew up in Marin and I remember when the Inn at Lark Creek was reserved for only special occasions. Well, life brought me back through Larkspur and I met some old friends for dinner at what is now the Tavern at Lark Creek. It's undergone a remodel, and an attitude adjustment, and while still well-suited to a special night... More

Recently I had the great pleasure of celebrating my 50th birthday with family and friends at The Tavern! What a perfect occasion it was from start to finish! We had a large group and we were seated at a perfect table for the occasion. The atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable and it was during the holiday season so everything was festively... Went here with friends and started with the mac and cheese croquettes, gooey and wonderful, very cheesy....then had short ribs, which were very rich and satisfying, great for a slightly chilly night, also the steelhead over the forbidden rice with a rich lobster sauce, also great, then finished with the butterscotch pudding, just as we remembered it from the old... The Tavern is a go-to place when we have family visiting from out of town. The menu has a great variety and I have not had a bad meal yet. Servers are pleasant and knowledgable, and little details like the chef checking in with diners is a nice touch. The main dining room can be a bit noisy, but that's... More

Well this place has history in Marin. Brady Ogden made his mark here in the early 90s and now this place has got to have the Worst food in Marin county. The menu is Boring and out dated. Ahi tartar could have been good but cannot taste tuna thru all the onion flavors and the nasty aioli. Mac n cheese... More

We used to come when it was the Lark Creek Inn, and we like it better now that it's the more casual Tavern. The food is still good. I like the appetizer options better than the main course options. The mac and cheese croquettes, the cheese souffle, the meatballs, the delta asparagus and the caesar salad are all really good.... More

Had a very nice dinner at the Tavern at Lark Creek. We had an early reservation and chose from a selection of tables that were available. The staff was attentive and service great. Food was very good and worth the price. Would go back if in the area again.
