Being from PA, and not familiar with Italian restaurants in Laguna Beach, we chose to dine here because of the high compliments we read. The reviews were right on...everything was delicious! I am very picky when it comes to Italian spaghetti sauces, infact I usually don"t like them at restaurants. However their pomodoro sauce was so fresh and delicious that... More

Friends from the area suggested that we eat dinner at Alessa in Laguna Beach before we returned to the Disneyland area. Had been eating good food for a week but always like to try something new. We arrived around 6pm and sat on the patio next to the road (overhead heaters if anyone cold). Everything about this place was excellent.... More

We come from Europe and know our way around the Italian kitchen. This was amazing! We had the best pasta and pizza ever! Even better then the ones we had in Italy!

Our favorite in Laguna Beach. The food is awesome and authentic, the prices are reasonable and the staff is very attentive. We had Marco B for the second time, he is so funny and makes great recommendations. If they only took reservations.

The food is very good and consistent year round. If Alessa is too full, go to sister restaurant Mare and eat my favorite lamb chops or risotto with mushrooms for main course. Sea bass is delightful and always fresh. If alone, eat at the bar. Wonderful crowd and friendly service..

Alessa is truly an authentic Italian restaurant. The courses are are proper and the portions are properly sized. Even on a Monday evening in January, it is the only restaurant in the area packed and lively. The others are slimy attended. Great service. Friendly smiles. Excellent food.

Best italian dinner I have had in years. Everything was great . Ordered the burreto cheese and ravioli appetizers and thought I went to heaven. My older friend just wanted spagetti with meat sauce and mushrooms and they complied . We both thought it was the best. Their house wine was very good as well. Food wise it is a... More
