Very nice

Good food not wildly priced by LB standards. We were recommended the meatballs and were not disappointed.

If a restaurant headlines the name of the chef---and offers what it calls house-made pastas---then they are setting the table for you to be impressed. And we were. By how awful it was. In the years I've been part of the tripadvisor tribe, I have written very few negative blasts---the hospitality business is hard, and everybody has a bad day...and... More

Alessa and Mare are sister restaurants in town. Mare restricts their menu in the winter, but Alessa keeps the same. Which is why in the winter our friends migrate to the downtown store. We love the choices of hams, salamis, cheeses and salads. It's so easy to accommodate anyone. There's vegetarians and gluten free in our group, so everyone leaves... More

After a visit to the Hugo Rivera Gallery in Laguna Beach, my wife and I stopped by Alessa by Pirozzi for a late lunch. Nice Italian restaurant just half a block off Pacific Coast Highway. The service was good and we ordered Panini and Eggplant Parmigiana. Great Place...Plan to come back for either the Lamb Salad or the Veal Osso-Buco.

Taken there by friends who frequent the restaurant often. Service, quality of food and wine selection all excellent. Pizza is light, ingredients fresh, crispy light crust and delicious topping choices. We ordered the mushroom pizza and it was excellent. Fresh pastas are all excellent. I ordered the Squid Ink linguine with seafood and it was light, fresh and flavorful. My... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner here at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. The proprietor greeted us at the door, which belied the service we were about to get. While our waiter was warm and friendly, we felt a bit ignored during the course of our meal. It's worth saying, though, that the food is fantastic -- the meatballs,... More

We have been Alessa diners and supporters for several years, but this past year the quality and finer touches for dinner have degraded the experience. I".., skimping on the cheese topping on Penne Norma made the dish mediocre at a high price

We went to visit the next door restaurant, which we love, but decided last minute to give this place a try. What a great decision. From fresh made pasta to Tiramasu that I actually loved (don't normally like the stuff), Alessa's did not disappoint. The spaghetti with meatballs should be more appropriately called, Spaghetti with a side of meatloaf. Those... More

I read about this restaurant in Orange Coast magazine and have been there several times since September. Great food and attentive waiters. Nice wine selection. Frequented by locals, favored by all. They gout of their way to make you feel at home. Families, couples, singles at the bar, has made it one of my favorites!! Kale salad, yum! Pasta....any of... More

We always sit at bar, as the tables are close together. The bartenders pour a generous glass of wine, and take good care of you. We always order carpaccio. Thin slices of filet mignon topped with capers and shaved parmesan lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil over arugula. Then a pasta dish.
