Stunning views and great food

We ate here a couple of times - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both were great. For us this was about the view - this place has a great position to view the bay (hence the name)! Depending on the time of year you may want to wear something a little warmer as the sun goes down as... read more

Everyone raved about the spot. Not sure why. One + hour wait on a Saturday at 3 p.m. Not very big. Staff was unfriendly. Poor parking situation.

We dine at the Cliff every time we visit SoCal. Situated on the Laguna Beach cliffs overlooking the ocean, the view is simply spectacular. As is often the case, we experienced another glorious sunset and, for the first time, we observed whales just below us and very close to the shore. The meal was very good and the service was... Great lunch or breakfast stop with a great ocean view. Always stop here with our dog to enjoy a great Bloody Mary and breakfast

Showed up as the sun was setting and it was beautiful. The wait for a table overlooking the beach was about an hour so we decided to grab one of the few available tables in the bar. We ordered Oysters on the 1/2 shell, Buffalo bites and Crab Cake appetisers. They were all very good. A locally brewed beer and... More

Atmosphere is lovely. Blue umbrellas, ocean front, spectacular views. We had oysters on the 1/2 shell, chips and guacamole with a glass of wine. The oysters were very fresh. My only issue was that I'm a celiac and I mentioned to our waiter that I had a wheat "allergy", he assured me the chips were corn only no wheat. I... More

I was in Southern California on business and had time to check out the beaches. I stopped at Laguna Beach and saw the restaurant on top of the hill and decided to grab a late lunch. I was seated immediately and the server was right there. The place was quite busy, so I thought it would take a while, but... More

My wife and I went there to have dinner and watch the sunset. I was a picture perfect day. We had the calamari steak, fish and shrimp basket. The shrimp was large and meaty. The steak calamari was cooked just right and was not chewy. My wife had the salad with grill shrimp and avocados. Nicely done.

We always stop here for lunch when in Laguna Beach. The patio looks over the ocean and the beach making it a memorable time. Lunch is usually quite busy and we had a short wait for a table but less than they told us. Oysters on the half shell were very good and the horseradish + hot sauce can be... More

My friend and I went the The Cliff for dinner and were both very happy with the service and the food. We each had a beer, soup of the day (butternut squash) and entrees and all together it was only $54, so we had great value for our meals and walked out of there stuffed. We had quesadillas and chicken... More
