Still going strong after so many years

It keeps getting better ... This was discovered some 8+ years ago. It was a relatively unknown little restaurant back then.. Cute and quirky little restaurant. Parking was easy out front, had a reservation and we were seated right away. Friendly server. The whole top of my menu was wet and sticky but figured because it's in a book maybe the staff hadn't noticed. Just tried not touching what was all over it. Started with a mojito. I used to work... Eva's is the best. Innovative menu on island standards...go for jerked chicken or the curry, or the jerked pork...oh it's all fantastic from appetizers of Punani Shrimp through dessert. Parking a challenge in S Laguna so plan for that. A cab might be a good idea with the rum adventure. Fantastic service by Eva and her protege Mel

This was the most fun restaurant we visited in a 3 day recent visit to Laguna Beach. Eva and her staff are amazingly welcoming. The house rum punch is not the tourist standard- real mango and pineapple juice, not pink stuff. We took some tips from other Yelpers and asked for the prawns for appetizer and the sea bass instead... More

The food is good and the service attentive, but the vibe and the rum list are the compelling reasons to eat here. It is on coast highway, but well screened with vines, shrubs and fencing. The patio is especially charming; when reserving (a must) ask for an outside table. The food is well-prepared, often inventive and the portions are large.... More

Eva is a great host. We were taken to this funky, colorful café after a matinee show at the Laguna Playhouse. The evening became a twofer because while waiting for Eva's to open we discovered the Coyote Grill across the street (another review). What caught my eye as we entered were the tables. Each is unique and made of monkey... More

Very small and intimate yet not formal. Eva knocks it out of the park. Everything on the menu is unique and tasty. Good wine list and an OUTSTANDING Rum list. Rum flights available. Make a reservation so you are not disappointed, always busy. Food it hearty and spicy Jamaican Jerk and curries.non spicy available for the chickens Fabiolous

I am not a food critic by any means - grilled cheese is good enough for me. But, I will give Eva's a shout out - it is a tiny restaurant located on busy PCH in South Laguna. You might drive by and miss it - look for the twinkling purple lights. It's very small - reservations suggested especially on... More

Eva's is an instatution in laguna. It has been there for as long as I can rememer and I lived there on and off for 12 years and locals always talk about how amazing Eva is and her unique cuisine. It is located in North laguna on PCH you can find it if driving from downtown by looking on your... More
