Laguna Beach best restaurant

This jewel has been a Laguna Beach treasure for 23 years. A drive by might not entice you but foodies know this is the most fantastic sword fish anywhere!! It,s a 4 inch baseball cut by owner chef Michael Leech from the whole fish everyday. We split it and have enough left for dinner next nite... read more

When I'm in Laguna Beach, I frequently take Glenneyre to avoid the traffic on PCH. I have probably driven by Cafe Zoolu a hundred times and never stopped. It's next to a bank, and across the street from a Circle K, so really, nothing fancy on the outside. I finally looked it up on Trip Advisor, and put it on... More

the best quality food in the area bar none…the white sea bass and the ahi plates are the best I have ever tasted not to mention the extremely large portions compared to most nouveau restaurants…a casual low key unassuming and friendly attitude

The swordfish with lemon caper sauce, the ahi tuna, and the calamari appetizer were excellent. The swordfish portion is enough for two. In fact, I would recommend ordering it cut in two and cooked medium rare. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer!

Excellent meal! A secret spot just a short walk from the beach. I was told about Cafe Zoolu by a local on the flight to LA. My husband and I were little hesitant as we approached due to the VW bus parked in front that looked like someone was living in it.

I went here upon the strong recommendation of hotel staff and was slightly disappointed (perhaps expectations were too high). It's a small restaurant so you definitely want a reservation. Maybe it was just bad timing, but we were seated next to a large table of very loud people - the noise level of the dining room was not what you... More

This is a sad establishment The servers truly hate their jobs and make no issue displaying this fact Food is ok sort of a copy of quiet woman in CDM Looks pretty dirty and unkept for the price point Fix the service and it would be ok for basic food

It is slightly off the main street and a relatively small restaurant. Immediately you realize the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful and that the place has lots of local folks eating there. The quality of the food is great and it's possible to split a single entree. I had the swordfish and loved it. Our friends had lamb and... More

A tiny little place a block over from PCH.m Known primarily for seafood - especially swordfish. Seared sesame crusted ahi was delicious. Nice wine list. Friendly and efficient staff. Very cozy The hours begin at 5:00 pm. Give it a try!

Food was great, huge portions. I was told they specialize in the swordfish, however I had Chilean Sea Bass. The servers didn't really act like they wanted to be there!
