Great quality and service

It is slightly off the main street and a relatively small restaurant. Immediately you realize the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful and that the place has lots of local folks eating there. The quality of the food is great and it's possible to split a single entree. I had the swordfish and... read more

I went here upon the strong recommendation of hotel staff and was slightly disappointed (perhaps expectations were too high). It's a small restaurant so you definitely want a reservation. Maybe it was just bad timing, but we were seated next to a large table of very loud people - the noise level of the dining room was not what you... More

This is a sad establishment The servers truly hate their jobs and make no issue displaying this fact Food is ok sort of a copy of quiet woman in CDM Looks pretty dirty and unkept for the price point Fix the service and it would be ok for basic food

A tiny little place a block over from PCH.m Known primarily for seafood - especially swordfish. Seared sesame crusted ahi was delicious. Nice wine list. Friendly and efficient staff. Very cozy The hours begin at 5:00 pm. Give it a try!

Food was great, huge portions. I was told they specialize in the swordfish, however I had Chilean Sea Bass. The servers didn't really act like they wanted to be there!

Swordfish dominates the menu but numerous other amazing selection are mixed in, such as Chilean Sea Bass, Alaskan Halibut etc . The portions almost require a sword to deconstruct. Imagine if you will, a portion of the freshest fish, so delicious, so thick that the shadow it cast covers your dinner plate. We were warned about the size of the... More

Having dined all over the world on 6 continents and being a very picky fish eater, Mike's preparation of Sea Bass that he received fresh daily was quite sublime! Ample sized servings, great wine list in this quaint little off the beaten path cafe is not to be missed when in Laguna. Sit at the bar and watch the locals... More

Split swordfish sampler with wife. Excellent! $7 split charge not appreciated, though. Buffalo, moz, basil salad excellent, also. Companions had excellent house salad. Hubby had swordfish skewer. Said excellent but lots leftover. His wife had soft shell crab app as main course. Said off the page good. Service good. Delightful female server. Male waiter a bit haughty. $40 for bottle... More

You should make a reservation or be prepared to not get in or wait. The food is always amazing. We take visitors in Laguna for exceptional food at a local hangout.

Zoolu was a happening restaurant in the 1990's and really hasn't changed that much. It's like a time machine. Remember when portions were really big. The wedge salad I had for an appetizer was enough for a meal. I had to try the meatloaf. That turned into 3 meals with the doggy bag I took home. Lots of fish and... More
