We went for an anniversary dinner and had the most fabulous experience! The sampler appetizer plate (chef's choice) was wonderful.. the best calamari we had ever had!! I visited this restaurant with some trepidation after reading some of the other reviews (i.e. the one comparing it to P.F. Chaings). We visited on a busy holiday weekend and were pleasantly surprised with the service and the meal. We were greeted and seated promptly after entering the restaurant. This place was a huge disappointment. We made a mistake and ordered the "tasting menu without a menu" with wine pairings for $95/person. What a rip off. We arrived on time and had to wait 5 minutes for a hostess to approach us....further more having to wait an additional 10 minutes to be seated at an already empty table. If you are expecting a terrific meal that will leave a lasting impression this is not the place. We visited this establishment for New Year's Eve, did the wine pairing which amounted to a bill of over $300 for two and were extremely disapointed. Five Feet has not lost its touch, its one of our favorite restaurants in socal.. We have had both the a la carte menu and the chefs menu. Either way you go it will be a hit! Dont miss out on this Laguna Beach Gem!! more

My recent experience with the tasting menu ranged from scrumptiously tasty to incredibly bland as I went from course to course. The highlights were a flavorful heirloom tomato salad and a small plate of Maine diver scallops over risotto in a truffle sauce.
