We ate here while looking for a reasonable place in Laguna Beach. The decor is determinedly 60's (or earlier) diner, with cars from the 50's sitting in the front (with their lights on, annoyingly right in my eyes.) I rate the food and the service below average. We did not have hamburgers, though, which are supposed to be their specialty.... More

Lou! give me a milk! Chocolate! Actually.... Give me a mud shake that you just got in with coffee, caramel and cookies with the leftovers in a metal tin thing and make sure you don't slide it across the bar this time as you've broken a few of the last ones..... That is what he would have said at this... More

We go to Ruby's every time we're in Laguna - love the atmosphere, although noisy, the food is always consistent, and the ambience is fun. we have their cups, glasses and shirts. Really love their ommelets and my partner loves their eggs/bacon/etc. and their gluten free english muffin is really good for people allergic to gluten. Coffee is good also.

We ate at Ruby's twice. Once was take out and once for sit down. Both breakfast. We ran in on a Saturday morning headed for the beach and grabbed the breakfast sliders. Hawaiian roll, split sausage, egg and cheese. Hard to mix that up. We got dies of fruit . The sliders we great although thrown together poorly. Second meal... More

We took a run along the Pacific Coast Highway and stopped at Ruby's for breakfast as a treat. The selection is wide and traditionally American (pancakes, eggs, waffles, omelettes, you name it). As always service was impeccably friendly and never rushed. Food quality is great and pretty good value for money too (most main breakfasts are under $10-$15). We came... More

We had a good American meal right on the pier in Huntington Beach. We had great service and great food! The prices were nice after being in Disneyland for a couple days!!

Nice kid friendly place. Great turkey burger with sweet potato fries. Good place for casual eats. Picked up food as carry out and ate at the beach in front on Montage.

I love diner food and this is classic Americana, well executed. The staff at this branch are very nice indeed and super efficient. I needed to eat and run and they were fantastic. I got to my meeting in record time after feeling as if I'd had a leisurely breakfast, when in fact, I had eaten in about half an... More

Ruby's diner is exactly what you want from a diner: fatty foods, friendly staff, great interior, lots of fun. The menu includes the calorific content of each meal (eye-opening but appreciated). I've been here a couple of times over the years and haven't been let down yet. It's always full of customers ranging from teenagers to families to couples. Everyone... More

Found this Diner riding down Pacific Coast Hwy to Carlsbad. Outside has the look of a 50's diner with great classic cars in front. Inside same feel, like a 50's soda shop with decor and how the waiters are dressed. The food was very large in proportion and was good! The Cherry Cokes were a BIG hit with my kids.... More
