You know what you are getting at Ruby's

My wife, daughter and I stopped in on our way from Newport Beach to San Diego. We purposely aimed for Ruby's as you know exactly what you'll get - good quality food at ridiculously cheap prices. Burgers ordered with refillable fries. I went for the Sriacha burger which had the heat of Mexico... read more

Ruby's is popular in these here parts. The parking lot is often full and there can be a wait for a table. If you're not choosy maybe offer to sit at the counter. Traditional menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, and fries. But heavy on the desserts, which can be fun, maybe to share. I had a double vanilla malt. Definitely... More

Walking distance from Travel Lodge or Montage. Great burgers, fast service and reasonably priced. It was very busy, so a little on the louder side but that's what made it kind of fun. My 12 year old enjoyed the chicken tenders and a shake and they even had beer for adults.

We saw this diner as we drove from San Diego to LA on the coast road and lured by the 50's cars and the look of the place, we turned around and went in. Staff were attentive and we were shown to our red plastic bench seats in this 'typical' Californian diner. Ranch burgers, salads and shakes ordered, we settled... More

This was not my first time eating at Ruby's but it was just OK. I remember it better than it was actually. It is a very cute diner and my kids loved it. The shake was plentiful and delicious but I was a bit disappointed with our burgers (Ranch Burgers).

Stopped by for breakfast and to get out of the rain. Service is quick and efficiant, Had the eggs Benedict which come with fried potatoes, which had been refined and a bit burnt. However I think we all know what to expect in this type of roadside eatery and for what I needed it was just right

My wife and I took a day trip to Laguna Beach while attending a conference in Irvine. We decided to give Ruby's a try. The nostalgic diner look and vintage vehicles parked outside was a plus. We ordered the more expensive hamburger and turkey sandwiches and were not impressed. The hamburger was overcooked and it did not taste like the... More

Good restaurant located on Pacific Coast highway. Hamburgers were juicy and the double chocolate shake was delicious filling the glass X2.

What's not to like? Great atmosphere and relaxed setting when you have little ones to feed. Our grandson loves the strawberry banana milk shakes, made the old fashion way, real thick and with whip cream and cherries on top. The cheese burgers are good as are the fries. For the first time my husband and I tried the chili (one... More
