This is a great hotel that replaced a bad one. Key is getting a room you will like as they range from A to D. The staff are excellent and will help you with that but see what you can find out on their website before calling them.

This bar/restaurant is right on the beach; lots of umbrellas (needed in the summer.) Fun, good crowd, reasonably priced; happy hour food prices. We had the mussels/clam combo in a delicious saffron broth served with garlic bread, and fantastic shrimp tacos with a wonderful sauce. We will go back. Staff is friendly and helpful.

What else is there to say? You will love everything on the menu. It is very fresh and simply prepared. You are dining directly on the beach. The service is excellent in spite of the crowded restaurant. It is a happening place but that doesn't detract from the dining experience. The halibut is probably the best you will have!

We stayed 2 nights in Laguna Beach in early August, and our visit to The Deck was one of the highlights. Great location right on the beach, the bar staff was intent on showing us a good time, and the small plates we had were delicious (gourmet grilled cheese with a tomato soup side was recommended and was surprisingly fantastic.)... First visit to Laguna Beach and this was the first restaurant and bar we visited. How can anyone not love a beach bar??? The view and casual ambience is perfect. Bartenders were so welcoming, professional, and, unlike others we've come across, actually seem to like their jobs. Clientele is a mixed blend of locals and tourists and, as tourists, we... More

Beautiful view, delicious food and attentive wait staff. We split the bacon burger and it was sizeable enough to satisfy. Try the banana split as well- caramelized bananas, chocolate syrup, cherries and malted milk balls.

We had a great experience at The Deck. What a view! Relaxed dining just off the sand but with really good food. We had a Seafood Louie full of fresh crab and tiny bay shrimp and a terrific grilled cheese with bacon and a very yummy tomato soup. A couple of Bloody Mary's made for a very nice repast. Service... Since this is a new restaurant to us, we were not quite sure what to expect. We came off the beach and ended up having a lovely lunch at The Deck. Had a nice bottle of wine and the seafood salad, which was wonderful! The outdoor seating was excellent. Also, while on the beach Sunday in front of the restaurant... More

Love the location, but continually a negative experience. Your front desk is a scene from Mean Girls. Barely twenty something girls deciding who gets seated when, loving quoting ridiculous times to those they don't want to stay. Not sure what their reason for being so rude is, guess it makes them feel important? Or worth having to go up and... More

I spent a weekend at the Pacific Edge and had one of my worst dining experiences in recent memory at the Deck. My girlfriend and I both ordered egg dishes for brunch that ended up taking an eternity to arrive. From the time we ordered, it took over an hour to bring an omelet and scrambled eggs. To make matters... More
