Killer Steakhouse With An Argentinian Touch

Maro's food is fresh, organic and amazing. Some of the best steaks and the best, quality burger in the OC. Quality, reasonable wine, huge pours. Very fairly priced for the quality.

If you're looking a restaurant with delicious food and a cozy setting (a place that locals love to frequent), then you'll want to make a reservation at the Maro Wood Grill in Laguna Beach. This Argentine restaurant has all the best basics -- grilled meats (beef, chicken, fish), empanadas (divine!), Malbec wine, Quilmes beer and so much more. Because Maro... More

Love the okra appetizer and Graffigna Grand Reserve Malbec. Prefer the Australian lamb versus the Baseball steak. Who would have thought this would be the case? Staff is very friendly especially for Laguna Beach restaurant.

This is our second visit to Maro Wood Grill -- we do not know why we waited so long to return. The food was excellent, the service was superb. We did not have reservations and yet they accommodated us seated at the bar overlooking the grill. We enjoyed the show as well as the food. My husband had a burger... More

I enjoyed the lovely, European approach at Maro Wood Grill. The menu is small (5-7 entrees) but we shared two and both were very good. The airline chicken was well cooked, presented well, and very tasty. The burger was perfect and very flavorful. I highly recommend the potato salad - it's wonderful! We shared a pitcher of sangria and it... More

A waitress at an earlier restaurant raved about Maro and how she had eaten lunch there that day. Very promising endorsement. My colleague from work also recommended the empanadas. We got there with no reservation on a busy Friday night - this place appears to be a fixture with locals - but got a table in under 5 minutes. Maro... More

This is a tiny restaurant with a tiny bar area, so nowhere to wait if you happen to be early for your reservation, or just want to wait for a table. The service was pretty good and the vegetable dishes we had were nice - the brussels sprouts, green beans and the roasted cauliflower that came with my steak. Unfortunately... More

I literally had more delicious and appitizing hamburgers from McDonald's. My husband and I rarely eat unhealthy food and were excited to have grass fed beef burger but were very disappointed at this over seasoned fatty piece of meat. On the plus side the atmosphere and the service was outstanding.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat in Laguna Beach. Absolutely great food cooked on a wood fired grill. Love to sit at the bar and watch them cook. One of the best bread butter puddings I've ever enjoyed. Scottish salmon grilled is heavenly and a nice addition to a salad.

Food Done right, charred veggies clean and simple yet so delicious, small but well thought out wine list, will come back Sitting at the bar of the firepit/grill is great, but it does get warm but so worth it
