One of my favorite restaurants to eat in Laguna Beach. Absolutely great food cooked on a wood fired grill. Love to sit at the bar and watch them cook. One of the best bread butter puddings I've ever enjoyed. Scottish salmon grilled is heavenly and a nice addition to a salad.

Food Done right, charred veggies clean and simple yet so delicious, small but well thought out wine list, will come back Sitting at the bar of the firepit/grill is great, but it does get warm but so worth it

we go there every 6 months to a year. excellent meat, empanadas and grilled veggies. unfortunately due to the small size of the resturaunt, everyone pays a large chunk of rent. it took us a visit to a popular great Argentinian Resturaunt to compare and really see the diff.

We ate here last week for the first time. We had the baseball steak and skirt steak. Everything was delicious. Try the banana pudding and hot cocoa if you leave room for dessert. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and will be back. Friendly staff and unique kitchen!

I highly recommend this restaurant I particularly enjoyed the chimichuri sauce. The Best! And the lamb was great also.

Ridiculously overpriced! We order an artichoke, a burger, 2 empanadas and 2 glasses of wine. All this for over $100.00. House wine was extremely pricey, food was average. Ambience ~ nothing special. We love Argentinian food... This is not worth it.

The food was really, really good, BUT I would not order a drink here. It is way too much to pay. Like, the least expensive chardonnay was 13 bucks, if I recall! They have a sangria for eight, but I'm sure it's sweet and full of fruit. Anyway, the food was really good and reasonably priced. I had a grass... More

We walked from our hotel to Maro Wood Grill which was recommended to us from the hotel. It's very cozy with outside seating under a tent, with heaters which made it very comfortable. We had their burger which was out of sight as far as the flavor. Came with coleslaw, which was the best - all their food is made... More

I first learned about Maro from the appetizers they served at the Green Feast fundraiser for The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano. Giving back to the community pays because that motivated me to have lunch at their restaurant in Laguna Beach recently. It was a rainy day and the umbrellas on the patio need to be adjusted to make... More

Chose this place based on Yelp stars - mistake #1. Entrees are so unimaginative so we opted for salads with protein. Basically field greens plus fennel (big whoop) in such a lousy vinegarette we has to ask for extra balsamic. The empanadas people rave about were nice but got progressively smaller (why? See photo - not an optical illusion). Wait... More
