Had a great meal here on our first night in Laguna! Really nicely cooked Salmon, with lovely mashed potato, really creamy! My husband had the seafood jambalaya with rice which he really enjoyed! Waitress was really nice and friendly.

This is located in the heart of Laguna Beach, and if you're lucky, you score a table by the window overlooking Highway 1 with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean and beach. Service was great--Shaun was helpful and efficient. My three companions had the special--Trout, I had the blackened Rockfish and a half Caesar salad. The food is good, plentiful... More

Staying in Newport Beach, our hotel recommended Rock'n Fish. We checked out the menu online, and noticed the great Happy Hour offerings and they have a Gluten Free menu, with great options. We went around 5 for the Happy Hour. I had the Oak Grilled Artichoke - which was so delicious! My husband had the homemade chips and salsa and... More

Nick's was an hour wait. This place was no wait. Great food! Great service! Great view! Spend your time walking on the beach, not waiting for a table with the crowds.

Like others said, not the same as Manhattan beach, but still far better than average. Lots of places come and go in Laguna beach.....this is a place that will last.

We were used to the Rock N Fish in Manhattan Beach, which was our favorite date spot when we lived there 8 years ago. It just wasn't the same. Our medium rare Kapalua rib eye was well done and the service was not up to par. Crab legs though, were great. I think I would try somewhere else next time.

My husband and I had lunch here with a few of our friends while on vacation. Our table sampled crab cakes, shrimp, crab legs and salmon pasta. The staff was great and the food was delicious. Definitely worth the price tag.

My wife and I picked the restaurant from an OpenTable search. All in all, things worked out great -- witness the rating. Just a couple of weaknesses: (1) not too many spots in the restaurant will give you an actual ocean view; and (2) my wife and I initially got no view at all -- somehow, the hostess decided to... The description in the hotel dining guide made this place sound great, unfortunately it did not live up to the description. 15 minutes to just order drinks and another 15 minutes waiting for them. Food was average if not below.
