Get there early after a walk along the beach. Great food and terrific service. Try the steak salad and fish sandwich.

During our last night at Marriott Newport Villas we were looking for a restaurant that could meet the expectations of six family members with varying degrees of likes and dislikes. We also wanted something more than your typical fast food or family restaurant but moderately priced. We found it Nick's whether it was a grilled cheese for the fussy 6... More

First of all, in a week of eating out in SoCal I would have to say that the food is very disappointing compared to the Bay Area, and Laguna Beach especially so. I won't mention the disappointing meals, but Nick's was a very pleasant surprise (we ate there twice). As opposed to the often pretentious (and poorly cooked) fare of... More

I just don't get it. Mediocre service and food. Laguna Beach wake up. That is all I have to say I don't need 100 characters...

Great dinner and wine. The atmosphere and service was impressive. I suggest the Asparagus Spears for appetizer.

Stopped by and the place was full. Bar tender was not interested in working anyone in and the waitress was rude and irritated and having to work about crowd. We left. Feedback would be try it when its not full. First impression, poor but it was very busy

We ate at Nick's for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The Cioppino and toasted bread were excellent. Seriously considered ordering more bread to soak up the remaining broth. Our perfectly charred artichoke appetizer was delicious. The service was spot-on and attentive. Better make a reservation for one of LB's best.

We dined at Nick's for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The San Francisco Cioppino and toasted bread were outstanding. The flavor of the broth was killer. Came really close to ordering another round of loaf bread just so it wouldn't go to waste! The artichoke appetizer was charred just right. The service was spot-on and friendly. Better make a reservation for... More

I have been there a couple of times. Always full packed with people enjoying the long bar or the comfortable tables. I recommend the Halibut sandwich and tap beer (doesn't get any colder)
