We had lunch on a weekday, I had the special which was lemon Sole. Fish tasted and looked liked it had been re-heated and was overcooked, basically very poor, the accompanying spinach was ok as was the sauce. Probably the worst lemon Sole dish I've ever had... My wife had a pork chop which was again over cooked and dry.... More

Interesting menu with a wide variety of choices. The wine list is extensive and not too expensive. Monday is 'no corkage' day so bring your own. The online coupon is silly but it will save you at most $8.

The food is average, and one could argue a bit below average for Italian cuisine. However, the staff are very warm, and provide top rate service to their clientele!

I suppose someone might quibble that this isn't authentic Italian food, but it is genuinely delicious. The ambiance is quite nice, too, especially if the weather is good enough to let you eat outdoors. I chose the lasagna specifically because it wasn't made in the traditional way. The light tomato sauce and beef/sausage mixture were excellent. I was not layered... More

Ambiance of this small Italian restaurant is very good and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Fresh bread was light and airy. Food was okay to good, but not "very good." I had Chicken Jerusalem and it had more flavor than the Prawn special in Gorgonzola cream sauce.

We were invited here by friends who not only live in Lafayette, but who owned a successful restaurant for over 30 years. We knew we were in for a treat. We were not disappointed. We were in fact dully impressed. Tony, our waiter is the example wait people want to be. He was friendly, attentive, and knew how to be... More

It's been two years since we dined at La Finestra. The food had no resemblance to Italian and certainly not Sicilano. We stayed in Sicilia more than a week and even the worst restaurant in Palermo (Bufala) was better than this one. Sauces way too creamy and the dishes overcooked. It might have improved over the last two years but... More

Four foodies went for dinner on Tuesday (free corkage on Tues) and I was blown away by their excellent food. The Malfatti appetizer is a Spinach and Ricotta Dumplings in a Sicilian Pesto Sauce, with Roasted Almonds and it was delicious...I never had that before. The Cesare salad was crisp and very tasty...they have an excellent dressing. For the entree,... More

We've been coming to La Finestra for years. Tony the waiter is the man! This guy really hustles, and has a very big personality. He's exuberant and enthusiastic. The kitchen can be slow at times. The restaurant offers a full selection of wines and liquor, with a smaller selection of beer. They just added another dining room that is tastefully... More

We had a wonderful time here for my brother in laws birthday- we were a party of 6. The waiter had character and reminded us of an Italian uncle- just the right fun spirit for the Italian atmosphere and food. Very good service. Courses were delicious- the shrimp pasta with a light creamy curry sauce was great- other dishes ordered... More
