We have been dining at Postino once or twice a year as we visit friends in the area and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thus, the experience this time was a tremendous disappointment. I started with a tomato mozzarella salad that was young and tasteless. We know tomatoes are in season - we are getting great ones at our... More

On a very pleasant evening in July with reservations at 6:30 pm We arrived to have a nice meal we did not.The restaurant was about 25% occupied we were seated and given our menus the menu is very unclear at to what style of food.Between Italian,Asian or American it's kind of a mish-mash of what ever they see fit.And the... My wife and I came to Postino to celebrated her birthday because, when we had gone in the past, we found it a perfect setting for a quiet -and delicious- dinner. Nothing has changed except, perhaps, that the service is even BETTER than it was in the past. We each had tasty salads (fresh and ample, too) and shared a... More

Last week I drove to Lafayette, Calif to visit my daughter Angelica and bf Andrey. I explored some reviews on TripAdvisor and we decided Italian and Postino's Yay ! Great choice. Loved the design and ambiance of the restaurant. The staff terrific. Warm, thoughtful and attentive .. Loved the arched brick walls and open kitchen feeling. Most importantly. The food... More

Because it was a cool night, we sat inside; in good weather, definitely request the patio. With brick walls, an open kitchen, and several moderate-sized connected rooms, Postino can hold a lot of people in an intimate atmosphere. There was a lot of romance and celebration in the air; it's that kind of place. As usual, we shared a couple... More

I have been here multiple times for Dinner last time being in June. We usually stayed in the long and narrow conference room. I found the service was quite attentive despite large number of customers. The food and dessert were good. I liked their house salad, spare ribs, steaks, and fish dishes. The Tiramisu was good but the other desserts... More

We hosted a vendor dinner there for about 11 people total. We had a semi private room. The drinks and food were very good.

Came for lunch on a Monday. The food was good and the waitress attentive. Problem was we were the only people there. Had I known I would have chosen a different place as I enjoy people watching.

Relaxed to a lovely dinner of red wine, Insalata Arugula with goat cheese and strawberries, the Costata (the sauce over the braised short ribs is delicious) and dreamy Tiramisu. The atmosphere in this charming Lafayette restaurant is always welcoming. The service is attentive. I know I will enjoy my evening when I frequent this restaurant!

We have had several dinners here and truly enjoy the creative menu and blend of flavors. The service is always top notch, and they even gave us a few appetizers to taste. We had a family birthday party here for about 50 people and they were awesome helping set a great menu with several choices for each person per course.... More
