Hi all, Chow has excellent food. On a warm summer evening, it is just wonderful to sit outside, be cordially waited on and eat excellent casual food. No wonder it is always busy, yet barely a line. 5 stars by me. If you haven't been, then check it out, I am sure that you will be pleasantly surprised. more
This charming locals hangout offers fuss-free homestyle California cuisine in a casual yet upbeat atmosphere. The resturant is open from morning to late night, so slip on your flip-flops, grab Fido's leash and order a decent glass of modestly priced house wine and cobb salad to enjoy al fresco on Chow's popular dog-friendly patio. All salads and several entrees are... more
This is not a place you may want to visit if you are of a particular ethnic background. I and my friends got thrown out because I asked the Waitress if she was pregnant (to later congratulate her). I ordered a small Fennel sausage pizza and the Apple Cranberry Cobbler for Dessert. In my experience (as a compulsive gourmet diner) was that a similar pizza at Pizza Antiga (also in Lafayette) is far superior,... more

My family went to Chow's on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We sat down to enjoy a nice meal and all seemed well. Soon a waiter came by and the man at the table next to us asked for the outdoor heater to be turned off. I asked if we could turn it down but keep it on for my... more
