Delicious Find

I haven't dined at Artisan for quite awhile. My experience then was only ok (both food and service). I happened to have the day off and stopped for lunch on a whim. I didn't have reservations but they were very accommodating. My server was attentive and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I started... read more

We have not eaten at Artisan Bistro in a while because we moved. Friends suggested we try it and we're delighted we did. All 4 of us ordered something different, duck, lamb, beef. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We shared a chocolate desert which was outstanding The wine and cocktails were also excellent We will definitely return

I had a call from a friend today asking for a restaurant recommendation for his birthday dinner. He wanted something in the general Lafayette/Walnut Creek vicinity. Without hesitation, I told him to make a reservation immediately for Aristan Bistro. Artisan Bistro is, in my opinion, the best fine dining restaurant in the area. I've been here for brunch (wonderful! try... More

From the minute you walk through the doors you are treated as a houseguest until you depart, the atmosphere is "casual elegance". Your visit will be a meorable experience. Enjoying fantastic food and wine, along with the staff's genuine friendliness and attention to detail, makes a trip to Artisan Bistro a definite must. The quality of the food is really... More

Artisan Bistro is a very good restaurant which prepares a very nice menu. Unfortunately, the night that I had dinner with some colleagues from Europe, the service was extremely slow in between courses. If it had not been for the speed of service, I would rate them "excellent"

My wife and I "needed" to celebrate some good news and Artisan Bistro was certainly the place to do it! This was our first visit and we are already making plans to return to celebrate our anniversary. The setting is charming, more like a dining room in a cozy old house than a plain old restaurant. Though roomy, the place... More

Every meal I have had at artisan has been delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts you will enjoy it all. The service is good, the decor is ok. I find the wooden seats a bit rough but the food over rides the comfort. There is some outdoor seating as well though the seats are not that comfortable either. All... More

I attended a dinner party for 10 in a semi-private room. The food was great and the staff was very professional. I would definitely go back!!

This is a small place in Lafayette. It is very quaint. The food presentation and the quality are outstanding. The deserts are home made and were amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful dining experience at this bistro. Owner and staff were very accommodating when unexpectedly, our group increased in size from 4 to 7. Menu is changed ever day and the fabulous Chef Lapating creates masterpieces on each plate. We tried the pepper crusted duck breast with forbidden black rice, day boat scallops, poached steelhead trout just to mention a few... More
