I took my husband here for his birthday last weekend. We were warmly greeted, immediately seated, and waited on for all of our needs. While I realize this is a top-rated restaurant in Lafayette, for me, it was a bit over the top. Yes, the food was quite delicious, but when compared to other places I have dined, I can... More

I had no idea what this restaurant would be like it sounded good but I had a hard time with website and reviews. So glad I reserved with credit card, as required. Everything was very good. Great menu can. I had the rib eye which was the best j have had in a long time. My son agreed. The duck... More

Every dish served is a work of art. Every bite taken is a taste to savor. Staff is attentive and engaging. Shaded outdoor seating completes the European feel of this home-turned-restaurant. Perfect place for a special occasion or when you want top San Francisco quality without top San Francisco pricing.

We had dinner here because it was near our hotel and had good reviews. The experience was even better than anticipated. We had the Chef's Tasting Menu, and were very happy with this. We asked for a wine pairing and the selections were all excellent. The servers were attentive, and our only minor complaint was an overly-exuberant group which was... More

We have dined at Artisan Bistro over twenty times in the years since it has opened for casual dining, special occasions and brunches. Most recently, for my birthday dinner, my wife and I enjoyed special cocktails (Manhattan for me), and a glass of fine wine with a dinner entree of "Duo of Pork Tenderloin& Sous-Vide Belly", which was delicious. Dessert... More

Our experience started out perfectly. We sat at the bar to have a drink and the bartender was so friendly we decided to eat our meal at the bar. We began with the special appetizer of the night, soft shell blue crab which was perfectly deep fried and accompanied by delightful smashed peas, pepper slices and a drizzle of sweet... More

Wanted a romantic dinner with unique food selections? This is a hit. Grilled octopus for our appetizer, and the waiter talked with us about the preparation/technique utilized. I had a fabulous salmon dish in puff pastry, done to perfection. Service was spot on, and we never felt rushed. I loved overhearing the manager answer the phone "wish you were here... More

We were visiting in the area, and a quick search of reviews brought us here. My wife started with their blood orange cosmo, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had a nice glass of pinot. We shared the sous vide octopus - very tender and nicely charred. I had the duck and my wife had the salmon baked in puff pastry.... More

The service and food were excellent. The restaurant is a bit on the noisy side, but we were fortunate in that we were seated to the side, and it was quieter where we were sitting.
