Great Happy Hour

3-5pm...M-F. Really... $5 drinks and snacks. It really is a good deal, especially on a nice warm day. Sit outside, people watch, read a book...just enjoy yourself. My 'go to' are the mussels cooked with a lovely curry sauce. Some serious enjoyment.

If you're craving for seafood on east side of SF, Yankee Pier is a definite must! We wanted to try everything on the menu but we can only eat so much ! Started off with a cup of clam chose that we shared - the cup was just right to taste test - chunk full of clams and chopped up... More

Wow. I was pleasantly shocked by how great where the fish and chips. This was ultra crispy and very fresh tasting. French fries / chips were also fresh and very crispy. Iceberg wedge salad was outstanding. Blue cheese salad dressing is obviously home made and some of the best I've had. Service could not have been better. Waitress was ultra... More

Seems every six months we get an inkling to visit Yankee Pier in Lafayette. I'm sure it would be weekly if we still had our home in Lafayette. 40-some years ago when we moved to Lafayette it boasted two of the best seafood restaurants in Contra Costa county, Cape Cod House and Lafayette Seafood. When both closed there was a... More

Surprisingly tasty, fresh and decently priced. We both had blackened fish. Waitress while pleasant was obviously winging it on her knowledge of bourbons and single malts and showed herself up.

We've eaten here a couple times and always been satisfied. We've had full meals, or just chowder or even salad. The service is good, the menu is large, and the food is always properly prepared (not overcooked or undercooked, both of which can be problems for seafood). I highly recommend it if you're in the East Bay and you need... More

Dear Chef - you can't put Full-Bellied Clams on the menu and charge $16 for clams with no bellies. I received a very very small portion of clam strips - the kind you get at Howard Johnson's in the 1980s. Howard Johnson's were better and they were $3.99. On the East Coast you get a big platter of fresh clams... More

The bartender makes the best martini in the area! The fresh fish is always great at this restaurant. The fried polenta was fantastic along with my 'Fat-belly' fried clams. The staff here is always very friendly with great service.

This is my mother's favorite place...so, we eat here often when I am in town. My mother is the one who should be writing this review since she is the one who is the most critical and like I wrote, this is her favorite place. Service, food and decor is consistent and excellent. You cannot go wrong with Yankee Pier.... More

Yankee Pier is by far one of my most favorites and especially for a bowl of chowder and a glass of wine once the season turns to winter. I have been a regular at Yankee Pier since it opened in Lafayette. By far my fave's are the chowder and grilled fish but I am sure anyone who loves seafood will... More
