Good Old Hometown Restaurant

I have only had lunch at Louise's Pantry since it moved to La Quinta and I have always had a good meal. The atmosphere is that of a local diner but the food is good. I remember Louise's when it was in Palm Springs next to the Follies Theater. I used to stand in line and eat dinner whenever I... read more

Disappointung for a crowded eatery. Ordered an avocado omelet that arrived with one tiny sliver of avocado on top. The omelet itself was bland. Our party of four walked out unsatisfied. We felt it was pricey, service ok, puzzled about why it was so crowded?

Went on a Sunday morning while visiting from out of town. 1st mimosa was free! Hubby had homemade corned beef hash and eggs. I had the fruit waffle. Both were EXCELLENT. Pics and memorabilia on walls tell the great history of Louise's Pantry and I'm so glad we stumbled upon it. We love home-grown eateries with good food & service... More

We had been walking and needed to use a ladies room. The hostess accommodated us. Welllll, that was the beginning of our relationship with Louise's Pantry. We went home changed and returned for their fabulous breakfast service. The next day, Sunday, we went back...there were solo many people arriving after church, that they set out folding chairs, and were passing... More

We visited Palm Desert while Coachella was going on. Poor planning on our side. The restaurant was packed, packed, packed, with a long line outside. But, we knew that it would be this way anywhere we went, so we decided to put our name in and wait. They were able to get us in (table of six) at 30 minutes.... More

Fast service, my coffee cup was always full, high quality food. My scamble with avacado and home fries was perfection!

We tried to go to Louise's one Sunday for brunch, but the place was jammed full with a 30 minutes wait. We returned a few days later on a week day and the situation was more manageable. Based on our one brunch, we thought the place, food and service was average. It was not terrible; it was not wonderful; it... More

Great experience. Warning: Huge plates. Traditional style brunch. Great customer service. Coffee on the weak side but overall a great brunch. Entree was good and full of favor (just too much food). Waitress treated us like family. Would definitely drop in again should we be in the neighborhood.

Be hungry when you go to Louise's Pantry, as the portions are large. This place is always packed, and food is reasonably priced with a large, varied menu. Something for everyone's taste. The service is good, and all staff pleasant.

We hadn't been to Louise's Pantry in quite a while but thought we'd give it a try for breakfast. The first thing we noticed was that the "cutesy" farm theme had been replaced with old-time photos of celebrities - very cool and interesting. The menu had also been updated (read more expensive). But the food was just as good and... More
