You don't have to leave the Cove to find pretty good Chinese food. You'll find all the favorites and some surprises. The restaurant itself isn't flashy, but the food is good.

Soul of China is a very quaint small family owned Chinese restaurant with plenty of charm and atmosphere! The hot and sour soup is awesome and their fish fillet with black bean sauce is off the chart also they deliver. When in the Desert you must drop by and visit Soul of China!

Friends told me about this hidden gem (strip mall in the Old Ralph's center) and I was skeptical at first. WOW! Great selections, everything fresh, with sparkling clean flavors. We have since recommended it to friends, and returned with others. The "Happy Family" features a wonderful variety of tastes. The service is friendly and prompt, the food is hot and... More

It doesn't have any road appeal as it is tucked away in a shopping plaza and you really need to know this to find it. You can eat in or take out. The problem is that the restaurant doesn't have any specific entrance way and front desk. So take out people waiting for their orders are right there with the... More

We usually just order for take out, but the small restaurant also has a very pleasant atmosphere. Our favorite dishes are the House Special fried rice and the pork egg foo yung.

Wow this was probably the worst Chinese food I have had in my entire life (45 yrs old). I thought we would enjoy a night off from cooking in and have ourselves a treat. I must admit in hindsight I would have rather shopped for ingredients, spent hours prepping/cooking and cleaning than have eaten this food. What a disappointment. What... More

Food is great but difficult to enjoy because the seating is so uncomfortalle. So rarely go. Would go often, once or maybe twice a week if the seating was comfortable. Also service is great. We still can enjoy it once in awhile.

This little place is a hidden gem.....looks like a nothing Chinese place BUT. Go in side and although most people get food to go, is it nicely decorated, with linen and subtle koi decor. Greated the second we walked in. Big menu, fresh an tasty. Orange beef gently cooked NOT overcooked as I've had at other places. Cashew chicken with... More

I had a $25 gift certificate from restaurants.com. My friend and I went into the restaurant during the dinner hour. Only two other people were seated. Not a good sign. Before ordering I presented the certificate. The server walked away with the certificate and keyed in the validation code in a back room. She returned saying it had been redeemed... More

The veggies in the wonton soup were fresh and not precook sitting there all day. Their low-fat menu options were delicious. This is a great healthy dinner option while staying in La Quinta.
