No place like it here. The main draw is a toss up between the piano bar and the food. Great prime rib on Fridays. Would not rec the chicken or duck. The piano bar is the best in the desert many many regulars who sing. Very good pour on the drinks.

It's what inside that counts and this place has it all. Grilled steaks were fantastic, others in our group had the duck confit and seafood dishes. All were great. The live piano bar music was fun.

This hidden gem in the heart of Old Town LaQuinta is one of the best restaurants around. Food, service, and entertainment all exceptional. This is a must whether you are a local, or traveler. This place is convenient as right in front of the Embassy Suites Hotel. Bill Baker is quite the entertainer. We love love love this place. Reservations... More

From the moment you walk in you feel as though you are back in the 50's/60's...piano man playing tunes in the bar, decor from the era. This is steak and seafood...old school style. We each had seafood and they came with a tasty sauce, rice and veggie. All was good. Only suggestion is to get rid of the clown who... More

It is funny walking into a restaurant, bar or attraction where you immediately realize that you are the youngest person in attendance. At 56 years old, this doesn't really happen to me much any more. The Sandbar is one of those places. We arrived with a large party unannounced and they happily fit us in. We were just there for... More

We met the owner, Bob, a few months ago and decided to try his restaurant. We had been there a couple of times for drinks and finally decided to try happy hour as we know the bartender, Mike. Our happy hour food was excellent. We met a couple by the name of Jan and Shirley and engaged in conversation. In... More

We went here around 4:30 pm for supper and ended up leaving just after 11! Bill Baker was the entertainment and he played from about 6 till 11ish! Various other people got up several times to sing and they were all great entertainment - had so much fun! The owner was there and he makes sure to talk and greet... More

Sandbar is a classic, a 1950's-60's drinking and eating place. Popular with the "more experienced" crowd in La Quinta, it also has a fair share of the 25-40 year old group in. And all are there because it is a great place to eat and drink. There is a certain ambiance to places like this... nostalgia for the simpler times.... More
