It is funny walking into a restaurant, bar or attraction where you immediately realize that you are the youngest person in attendance. At 56 years old, this doesn't really happen to me much any more. The Sandbar is one of those places. We arrived with a large party unannounced and they happily fit us in. We were just there for... More

We met the owner, Bob, a few months ago and decided to try his restaurant. We had been there a couple of times for drinks and finally decided to try happy hour as we know the bartender, Mike. Our happy hour food was excellent. We met a couple by the name of Jan and Shirley and engaged in conversation. In... More

We went here around 4:30 pm for supper and ended up leaving just after 11! Bill Baker was the entertainment and he played from about 6 till 11ish! Various other people got up several times to sing and they were all great entertainment - had so much fun! The owner was there and he makes sure to talk and greet... More

Sandbar is a classic, a 1950's-60's drinking and eating place. Popular with the "more experienced" crowd in La Quinta, it also has a fair share of the 25-40 year old group in. And all are there because it is a great place to eat and drink. There is a certain ambiance to places like this... nostalgia for the simpler times.... More

We have eaten here at least four times over the last two years. Wonderful food, friendly staff. I recommend eating in the bar so you can enjoy the live entertainment. You expect Bing Crosby to walk in a have a seat at the bar.

What a delightful evening! It had been 25 years since we had enjoyed a Cunards dinner back in our dating days. Nostalgically, the menu hadn't changed much if at all. Even the staff seemed the same, completely charming. If you want a true Palm Springs area experience, this is the place. Don't expect haute cuisine, but order something comfortable, enjoy... More

This restaurant has been in the same locations with the same owners forever. It is filled with regulars who go for the delicious food and the piano player. Reosonable prices and friendly hosts top our a wonderful combination. Soup or salad included with entrée' priced in the 20"s.

Old time owners with good service and food choices. Spendy for sure but worth at least one visit, you will enjoy the location and great service.

What a fun place for a Friday night cocktail at the bar. Piano playing starts early and it's a lively group! We just sat at the bar for an appetizer - the rice paper covered shrimp tempura were fabulous - but they have tables in the bar to eat a full dinner also. It was packed but there were tables...
