If you are looking for that someplace special that makes you feel really good about the whole experience then Solano's is worth the visit. The food is excellent. The service is second to none and the ambiance is fantastic. We first had breakfast here and the owner, Paco, made a point of checking on us to make sure everything was... More

Solano's Bistro, in old town La Quinta, has a very good Happy Hour with with drinks (wine at $4 and well drinks at $5) as well as bar food being both well priced and very good. Chef Paco's Fish Tacos, panko crusted halibut and Thai Salmon are both excellent dishes. Solano's dinner entree selections and prices are both excellent. Solano's... More

Food was great, the service outstanding. The interior was lacking and not very cozy. Would recommend for a casual dinner

We were in LaQuinta for Art under the Umbrellas and decided to stop here for an early lunch at 11:30AM. We wanted outdoor eating & we got our choice of tables. There were several breakfast & lunch specials. Breakfast is served till noon. We both decided to have lunch & chose sandwiches. I had the grilled turkey burger with whole... More

We went here for dinner recently on a recommendation, but didn't find it special or exceptional in any way. I had a "Italian Saugage Fettuccine" and though the sausage was tasty, the sauce was bland and tasteless and the fettuccine was clearly not handmade nor artisan. A very basic dish at a not so basic price ($20.00) Dissappointing.

We'd learned about Solano's Bistro from others who have enjoyed this restaurant, and we were delighted to find it was even better than we anticipated. Reservations are recommended, but Open Table offered few time options for a last-minute reservation. However, a quick telephone call resolved this for us and we enjoyed a lovely dinner that evening. The staff was accommodating.... More

We got a last minute dinner reservation here if we agree to sit outdoors, no problem, we bundled up and went to dinner. We had low expectations consider how busy they were and we were a last minute reservation. We were pleasantly surprised, everything including food, service, ambience exceeded our expectations. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly.... More

very nice wait staff. Comfortable setting to enjoy a nice dinner. It's like dining in your home. The crab cakes are a must. Clam chowder was very good--better than San Francisco! We had the lobster risotto;chicken pappardelle, seafood pasta, and tortilla chip crusted white fish--all very good and tasty. The local microbrewed beer is a good choice too

Friends treated us here for our Anniversary and what I can say is that we were very impressed with the service and every dish that we each had was excellent. Our friends have a food allergy and the waiter and chef accommodated them both to the maximum. We had a very impressive dinner and would recommend Solano's. Thank you for... More

Really nice restaurant. I had the special which was pecan crusted sea bass, it was beautifully cooked and delicious. My other half had pasta which he totally enjoyed too. We treated ourselves to desert and they didn't disappoint either. It is a casual atmosphere with great food - our favourite kind of restaurant. We would go back.
