Generally Reliable Food

I used to love La Brassierie but I think the owner is trying to save some pennies by cutting wait staff, bread, and bussing. The portions may be a little smaller, also. Still, all in all, the hot food is hot and the salads are interesting. The menu is varied and I love the calamari salad. It... read more

We ate here twice during our visit because the patio is so inviting and charming. I wish the food were better/updated. It is adequate but not great and I wouldn't recommend coming here for that alone. For lunch I had vichyssoise and a salad and nice glass of wine. The soup was very good, the salad average, and service was... More

I had lunch with two of my gal pals at La Brasserie. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable with lots of natural wood on floors and walls. The restaurant is suitable for children and tables are easily put together for larger families or groups. The wine list is fantastic and they have a full bar. There is room to eat... More

Must eat in the patio - so beautiful at night. Service was top notch, very attentive without being overbearing. The subtle French ambience added to the enjoyable atmosphere. Menu was delectable, excellent variety and not to be passed up appetizers and desserts. We had the beet salad, a Caesar salad, for entrees the night's special Scottish salmon, and the ahi... More

For Happy Hour, La Brasserie is a gem! The Charcuterie platter is always innovative and fresh - featuring pate, cheeses, once even a bit of honeycomb (!) and assorted fruits to accent the flavors. A wonderful assortment of bright, clever choices! There is a lovely selection of wines, and the truffle frites are to die for. The calamari salad is... More

We have dined at La Brasserie several times and have never been disappointed. It has charm, class without pretension and the décor has a warm, French vibe. One would never know the strip shopping center is right outside while the walled outside patio dining area awaits you. The wait staff is always cheery, patient and accommodating. The owner chef is... Chef Emanuel is getting it right. Fresh, simple and delicious. I had the liver and onions (again!) and it was superb. My wife loves the weinerschnitzel and fortunately she could not finish so I had a cutlet sandwich for lunch the next day. The wine list is not mind-bending but there are some really good selections, both French and California... More

Had heard this place was so-so. And they were SO wrong. From the front door throughout our meal and then our exit, the service was outstanding. The French Onion soup was very good followed by quiche, cobb salad, calamari salad and carribean salad, for our group of five.. All of us thought the food was delicious and presentation was great.... Service was wonderful, sat in the patio which was lovely, as was the inside of the restaurant. I was very disappointed with my Croque Monsieur. In Europe they have always cooked the outside of the sandwich in butter with cheese. This was just a ham and cheese on toast. Maybe they forgot to finish it? The Creme Brulee was excellent,... More

French!!! Provencal. Lovely French restaurant that offers a lot of outdoor seating on their patio. Dog friendly at that. But if you are taking your dog, a large one could be problematic. The tables are very close, not leaving much room for pooch, and a busy staff to co-exist. Ours is very small, used to the dinner scene and quietly... More
