Authentic Bistro Fare

Chef Emanuel is getting it right. Fresh, simple and delicious. I had the liver and onions (again!) and it was superb. My wife loves the weinerschnitzel and fortunately she could not finish so I had a cutlet sandwich for lunch the next day. The wine list is not mind-bending but there are some... read more

Had heard this place was so-so. And they were SO wrong. From the front door throughout our meal and then our exit, the service was outstanding. The French Onion soup was very good followed by quiche, cobb salad, calamari salad and carribean salad, for our group of five.. All of us thought the food was delicious and presentation was great.... Service was wonderful, sat in the patio which was lovely, as was the inside of the restaurant. I was very disappointed with my Croque Monsieur. In Europe they have always cooked the outside of the sandwich in butter with cheese. This was just a ham and cheese on toast. Maybe they forgot to finish it? The Creme Brulee was excellent,... More

French!!! Provencal. Lovely French restaurant that offers a lot of outdoor seating on their patio. Dog friendly at that. But if you are taking your dog, a large one could be problematic. The tables are very close, not leaving much room for pooch, and a busy staff to co-exist. Ours is very small, used to the dinner scene and quietly... More

We had a Caesar salad and french onion soup for appetizers - both were good. We had mussels and the cassoulet for main courses. The mussels were good (but not great) and the cassoulet was dry and somewhat tasteless - not recommended. On our next visit, I will stick to bistro food like chicken and hanger steak and hope for... We were pleasantly surprised when we winged our visit to La Brasserie with a last minute reservation. The patio is one of the most unique I have ever seen, you are transported away from the strip-mall style shopping center you truly are in. The food was divine and the service was excellent!

Food, service, menu = Excellent! Good size private patio even though in a strip mall location. Definitely a favourite choice for dinner or happy hour.

Great French menu. Everything you remember from your trip to France. Everything tasted good as close to a French brasserie as you can get. Worth a trip.

Nice quite place off the beaten track. Small bar but very nice bar tender. Had a Calamari salad and then hanger steak with fries. Good selection and nice atmosphere. Nothing overly special but good food at a fair price. I'd go back.

What a busy restaurant with atmosphere - Silvie - our server(?management?) really looked after us andall the tables around us - the others worked as an excellent team. Our Main courses were excellent and also good value - the vegetable selection was - the best I have sampled in many years. Good sized portions - not too big - prepared... More
