Like everywhere else in Palm Springs, this place tries to be something it is not. With valet parking and a high-end hacienda type feel on the outside and western mansion feel on the inside, I expected the service to match. I have a rule, "No greet, no eat." I will turn around and walk out of a place, I don't... More

Palm Springs is known for its golf courses and mountains but there is also great resturants there too. This is one located on highway 111 and Washington. It's cut into a cliff with a great view. The resturant is elegant, white table cloths and low lighting. Great ambiance. But the best is the food. There is a nice variety of dishes... More

Although the view is covered by shades because of the heat, it didn't detract from this being a really great experience! We started with the calamari, which we've had bad luck with lately, but our waitress assured us is never rubbery! It was perfect, and we enjoyed the dipping sauces. There was too much for 2 of us to eat.... More

We were returning from a road trip into Long Beach and had not been to the Cliff House in a while and wanted someplace happening as well as offering great food We totally love the new look of the remodel and because we enjoy eating in the bar, really like the new area with couches and tables just off the... Seems to be the place I always got to on our trips to Palm Springs. But I did branch out and try something different. Usually I go for the braised beef. This time crab stuffed shrimp. It was delicious.

My friend and I visited Cliffhouse on Sunday evening. I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna, expecting a fabulous experience as that is one of my favorite foods. Unfortunately, there was something horribly wrong with my food (I don't know if it was the tuna or if it was the side disk which was a kindof fried rice/potatoe dish). The problem... More

i read about the reaction you had to the ahi dish on your recent visit. my apologies. it sounds like an allergic reaction to what is close to raw fish since the dish is served "seared rare". we had no other complaints that week on the tuna. that being said it is still our fault that you got a reaction... Beautiful location with outdoor terrace against cliffs (don't sit outside in the summer). Inside décor is rather like "old money" and we thought the food was mediocre. The restaurant was filled with people so could be we hit it on the wrong night (Monday) and our waiter, while a very attractive young man, was not attentive to our requests.

We've been going to the Cliff House for several years for lots of reasons...Atmosphere, patio dining, price etc. But this last time the food took center stage. Most outstanding were the scallops small plate. 5 outrageously delicious scallops in their shells in a sauce that we'll dream about. Then we shared the skirt steak which we've enjoyed before but this... More
