Food was well-prepared and very good. The mushroom soup that was the special that day or week was one of the best soups I've ever tasted! The picky person at the table next to us occupied most of our server's time so we felt a little shafted, didn't get drinks refilled until entrees served. Disappointed that the salmon was Atlantic... We sat out on one of the patios for a lovely (and warm because of the heaters) dinner. With reservations, we were seated quickly. The service was excellent, and our dinners were terrific. The prices were lower than we expected. Walking in over a waterfall is an added plus for the already great ambiance! We didn't see a view; it... More

Celebrated my 60 birthday with my husband & family.Got there early, had requested an outside patio table but they don't confirm that when you book. We were seated instantly, outside on the patio amidst the rocks & fireplace. Lots of patio heaters to keep the desert evening coolness @ bay. Our waitress was fantastic & had great knowledge of their... More

From the free valet parking to the great food and drink the Cliffhouse is a staple. We were there over Christmas and it was a little chaotic, but Marcy was zipping around, in her calm efficient style sorting any glitches. We ate outside on the bar patio. It was a cool night but there were plenty of burners to keep... More

I really enjoyed happy hour on the patio at the Cliffhouse,The patio is location is built into the cliff and we had great views of the surrounding mountains from where we sat. The menu was pretty extensive and all three of us enjoyed our meals. I think the prices were reasonable and the service was good. I would definitely come... More

Four of us visited for dinner. The place was packed, and it is HUGE. They did a pretty good job with the service considering the crowd. The other 3 in our party were pleased with their food - ribs and a pork special. I made the mistake of ordering crab stuffed shrimp - it was really bland. And the accompanying... More

This restaurant is best seen at sunset...lots of windows, mountain views, rock walls, waterfalls, roaring fireplace. A table outside on the patio would be very nice. Very good ambiance. Prices are reasonable. I had crab stuffed shrimp--it was good, as was the house salad with candied hazelnut accent. It's a good date night, anniversary, romantic dinner place.

We celebrated my husband's birthday with a first visit to Cliffhouse, though we have been to Pacifica, the sister restaurant in Palm Desert, many times. We were warmly greeted with a happy birthday by the host and immediately shown to our table in the dining room, which was classic and comfortable. Our waitress, Erin, was clearly on the run but... This is a restaurant carved into the side of a mountain...which happens to have a waterfall running through the outdoor patio...if that isn't enough ambiance for you...then check out the fire pit and candle-lit tables. Very nice! Food was very good...I had a burger...that I think was called the LaQuinta...which had dates (local) mixed into the meat...very different and yummy!... More
