As a Texan I've eaten at thousands of Mexican Restaurants, as has my wife. We always return here when we desire enchiladas, margaritas, tacos, etc. The outside patio is nice, the décor is fresh and appropriate, service is super-fast, and the food comes hot hot. In the evening strolling mariachis add to the Mexican atmosphere. We had dozens of excellent... More

I used to love this place so much it was ridiculous. Back in the day it was located in Old Town San Diego and it had a menu to die for. Everything was 6 star delicious, especially the Enchiladas Suisas and the Cheese Crisp Special. I ate there frequently for years then moved away from San Diego. I discovered a... More

We found this place by asking our housekeeper at the hotel we were staying at. This place is tops. They have this drink called a Sangarita (I think I got that right)...wowzers it was sooo good. It's a premium margarita with sangria mixed in at the end. Yeah...awesome...and I'm not a blended drink kinda guy but this thing rocked. Then... More

We had dinner here while on vacation in San Diego. We were seated outside on a beautiful evening. Each table had an umbrella and the high surrounding wall made it very private. A strolling Mariachi band enhanced the ambiance. The food was very good and enjoyed by all. My wife and I had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans.... More

There is nothing special about the food here. However, the atmosphere is WAY better than any other Mexican Restaurant I have been to in SD. There is a live band playing and that makes it entertaining, except when they start playing next to you and you are kind of expected to give them a tip.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with the girls after bridesmaid dress shopping. Food was wonderful, service was great and the coconut margarita is HIGHLY recommended. (I was curious and so grateful I ordered it!).

A fun place with solid Americanized Mexican dishes. We used to go to CDP when it was in Old Town, San Diego. Inside, it has a very festive atmosphere similar to the original and you don't realize you are in a mall parking lot! I enjoyed the tamales and tostada. My dining partner said the enchiladas were very good also.... More
