Great food and atmosphere. Food and drink specials. Big round fire pit in bar area. Friendly staff. Outdoor patio with heaters if you want to eat outside.

We have been coming to the Brig since 1985 or so and it continues to be just a great place. A great bar, always a good selection of Catch of the Day, and wonderful prime rib. Always good prime rib. And the seafood platter! Another great choice. What can I say, we love it!

My wife and I chose this chain based on tripadvisor recent write-ups. The vibe is good, a busy and popular place. When we sat down, we noticed how strong the air conditioning was. The vent is high on one wall where I would imagine a lot of people felt the strong cold breeze. We ordered calamari which was nicely prepared,... More

My friend took me to a birthday lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The food was really delicious and the server was very attentive. I had the fish tacos and I loved them. Dinner or lunch this restaurant is one of the best especially in La Mesa.

This restaurant is a go-to for locals. It was packed on Friday eveing when we were there, the kind of place you know about in your own hometown where friends hang out for drinks after work, birthday bashes, visits with Great Aunties, etc. There are very nice outdoor/terrace seating options, as well as large inside dining rooms. The place is... More

Plenty of parking, easy to find, unique ambience including a ship above our head. 5 of us went on Sunday night to celebrate our Cdn Thanksgiving ... Without the turkey. We all had different seafood dishes - the Sunday 3 course meal ran btw 20-26$ ( incl soup/salad, entree, dessert) - all were hot, seasoned well & nicely done. I... More

I've lived near the Brig for many years. I rely on it for good service, good food and great seating outside. I do find the indoor seating too noisy at busy times, however. I usually can find something to eat that meets my no red meat requirements. Just last week I had the swordfish tacos which were excellent.

I have been frequenting The Brigantine in La Mesa for years; however, we had not been for quite some time. My daughter surprised me with a birthday dinner at the Brig. Their Oysters Rockefeller have long been one of my favorites and I would have to say I was somewhat disappointed. While very flavorful, they were much smaller oysters than... More

The dining room & patio seating is great for dinner. If you want to stop in to watch some football, baseball or other sports Brigantine has a a good size bar and other seating area. The happy hour drinks and food menu are great. Nice ambience and very good service! One of our favorite happy hour & dinner spots close... More

Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. The mahi mahi tacos are large and delicious. Get there early because it gets very busy.
