Absolutely a fantastic restuarant. So popular it can get crowded, it's that good. Don't fret over the menu, it is all good.

The Vindaloo can be spiced to your desire and the chicken tika is creamy and slightly sweet. The naan that comes with the meal has good texture but is pretty bland. The chicken kebab looked great but had moderate spiceyness. The negatives were being given a table that had the previous guests stains on the tablecloth and they brought out... More

Sometimes a great dining experience can be had in your own backyard and you don't even know about it. That was the case when I recently went from my Mt Helix home to get my car smoged on El Cajon Blvd in La Mesa. As I drove by the little shopping center off Baltimore Drive I spotted a sign that... I was in the San Diego area for 10 days around Thanksgiving and ate here twice for lunch. Nice variety, wonderful flavors, and reasonable prices.

Tucked away in a strip mall away from the main tourist attractions, this is a restaurant well worth a bit of searching to find. The food is varied, authentic, and great. The service is attentive and pleasant, but listen carefully, there are some heavy accents involved. The levels of hotness of the dishes can be varied to your taste. The... More

We have recently moved to CA from Italy and keep seeking for good places were to eat. Well, this is an excellent place to have lunch or dinner. They have a vast menu with all traditional dishes of Himalayan and Hindu cuisines. Any dish you take will be wonderful and you can choose how spicy you want your meal (don´t... More

Himalayan cuisine is a genuine gem. I am embarrassed to say that on my phone they were on my favourites list ahead of my kids......but i have since fixed that. If you want something original, genuine and excellent then Himalayan is the place to go. We normally get a take away (enough for 4 people - the Chicken biryani is... More

Dont let the location fool you. You have to work a little to find this place because its not just in a strip mall, it's on the side of the strip mall. You travel to the end of El Cajon Blvd almost to highway 8 and there it is. Its has a very authentic looking decor and the wait staff... More
