We are huge Indian/Himalayan lovers and the food here was spot on! I'd say the tikka masala was one of the best I've ever had. They also gave us a lentil soup for our baby, for free. Oh and make sure you order their garlic naan! Outstanding and if we're ever in the area again we will be going back!

The spicing of the food was excellent and the decor fine. A major criticism was our tandoori mixed grill was delivered to the table, but the rice than accompanied it and my young girls Birianni came over twenty minutes later. My kids were ready to chew the table by the time their food came and our tandoori was cold by... More

Ate here a couple of years ago when it was much smaller and enjoyeme, we were disappointed. The vegetable pakoras had an excessive batter-to-veg ratio and were less than crispy. The chicken orma was undistinguised. Maybe just a bad night for them, but we wer let down.

This was a pleasant surprise. We decided to go here because of the tremendous reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Yes, it's in an unassuming strip mall, but the service, the meal, and the price make up for that. The menu has plenty of delicious options. In fact, I believe I would love anything and everything on that menu. So much... More

The location is a little dreary, a small storefront in a modest shopping center, but the owners have done their best to make you feel like you're close to the Himalayas - décor, wait staff, muzak, ambience. Our chicken marsala was excellent, and the chicken kabob was also. Wine and beer are available. Prices are plain cheap. We live close... More

Located in a strip mall, this restaurant is better than I expected. Once inside the door, the place is huge. However, they do have a smaller dining room by the front windows they use when the place isn't too crowded, so you don't feel lost in a big room. I went for lunch, which is a terrific value. You get... More

Absolutely a fantastic restuarant. So popular it can get crowded, it's that good. Don't fret over the menu, it is all good.

The Vindaloo can be spiced to your desire and the chicken tika is creamy and slightly sweet. The naan that comes with the meal has good texture but is pretty bland. The chicken kebab looked great but had moderate spiceyness. The negatives were being given a table that had the previous guests stains on the tablecloth and they brought out... More

Sometimes a great dining experience can be had in your own backyard and you don't even know about it. That was the case when I recently went from my Mt Helix home to get my car smoged on El Cajon Blvd in La Mesa. As I drove by the little shopping center off Baltimore Drive I spotted a sign that... I was in the San Diego area for 10 days around Thanksgiving and ate here twice for lunch. Nice variety, wonderful flavors, and reasonable prices.
