The title says it all, what more could you ask for? The service was good too, so that was a plus. And the prices weren't expensive.

We were walking the streets of La Jolla trying to decide which restuarant would have something for everyone in my picky family. We decided upon Karl's, and it was a hit!
The food was terrific - from salads and macaroni to chicken.
Service was wonderful, and it had a great atmosphere.
We were there for a late lunch but I'm...

We went here for some lunch. We sat out on the patio and had a few beers. The best part was our waitress brought us samples of the beers that they suggested we have with our meals. They were very knowledgeable about the selection. And if the beer and food doesn't interest you, go for the people watching.
Went to Karl's during a business trip. They made me feel like I was one of the regulars. Very welcoming and very knowledgable of their extensive micro brews. Lots of suggestions for menu items to choose from and kept givin me samples if other ales and stouts just to tempt me. I'll be back.
Enjoyed visit and shared an appetiser. Beer was good and food reasonable with friendly service but I thought it was expensive for what it was

You have to try the pork! It's amazing! The beer samples are great and nice to try and enjoy...Great location!
Strolling through La Jolla and found this gem. Very welcoming and a great spot to sample some good local brew. I would recommend the Amber Ale - DELICOUS!
Food was tasty, too. A little pricy, but hey look where you are! Steak was cooked just how I liked it and mashed potatoes were to die for. I would definitely go...

We recently enjoyed Happy Hour at Karl Strauss; not only were the appetizers well priced they were super yummy!! We also sampled several beers as you can order 4 small portions of the various brews on tap to perform your own taste test. Great service and delicious food.
Was there for dinner with friend and really enjoyed the place. Food was yum and portions were quite huge, although I was disappointed with limited vegetarian options. I did not have any beer but my friends did and loved it. Especially the Red Trolley Ale and Tower 20. The Grilled fish tacos are highly recommend and so is the Brick...
