Just What It Says

Old fashioned burger shack, with the menu up on the wall. Good selection of menu items, considering. Service is basic but friendly. Food's well prepared and good quality. It's overpriced but hey, it's La Jolla.

The burger and milk shake were good but the fries were so so. The service was good. Kind of like an old fashioned burger joint. We didn't try the ice cream but we heard that it is quite good.

After a good walk along La Jolla Shores or another amazing surf session in crystal clear Pacific this is the place to stroll over to and get a turkey sandwhich or a burger and an ice cream.

I always stop here for my veggie burger on my trips to la jolla. they guys are always nice and helpful. I take my delicious veggie burger to the beach and a word of caution: don't feed any part of it (like excess bread) to the birds until you are done! because they took the whole burger out of my... Although a small local burger place, we saw it was always busy, so did lunch there one day. Found that the food was excellent. Service was good, but is a self serve fast food process. Being busy, the speed was not the best, but on vacation you have time to wait for good food. The milk shakes were excellent as... More

Great place to grab a quick bite - not much interior seating, and they really liked to shout out my number when it took me a second to get to the counter :D but the food was fresh and tasty!

The food was okay, but not the type of place you would tell people they had to go to, or even should go to. If you are looking for a simple quick bite, it is fine. Expect to pay $10-$15 per person for a burger, frys and small drink (no refills). The 2 "tables" outside are nice for 1 1/2... More

The famous Jeff's Burger, available in many versions, is the staple of the restaurant, but there are other offerings and their fries are good. I've had the burger many times. There are a few selections of ice cream cones for taking on the way out. It's been here forever, so they must be doing something right. Along with the Mexican... More

Jeff's Burgers is advertised as fast food near the beach. First of all, it took 33 minutes to get our food, so fast it is not, but near the beach, yes. The place is small and in a good area and was really full of people so we figured it must be good. WRONG. All of the food was awful.... More

The food was good and quick. The restroom was trashed and it was too popular (crowded) for it's own good.
