I have lived in La Jolla virtually my whole life - and have spent many a great morning sitting on the patio at Pannikin. Think non-corporate slightly beatnik starbucks. The greek steamers are a favorite (eggs with feta, tomatoes and basil). Excellent coffee on weekends the farmer's market is a block away at La Jolla Elementary School. more

A very popular alternative coffee shop, but I prefer the atmosphere and food of the Cookie Lady, or even better, Zanzibar on Garnet in PB more
