The food is amazing at Brockton Villa; I visited twice in a week whilst in the SD area and both meals were of top quality. Fish tacos beautifully cooked and presented, and desserts exceptional - particularly the caramel flan. Staff very welcoming and friendly - excellent service and nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to return!

My wife and I visit our son and his family in La Jolla a few times a year from Florida. We never miss brunch at the Brockton. Any more comments about the food are superfluous after reading other reviews except to say that you must try the Chilaquiles, Everything is very well cooked and served with a smile. Take a... More

We make a point of having dinner here whenever we are in La Jolla - the restaurant has a great view of the cove and sunset, plus their french toast (they have a special name for it, which I forget), which is the signature dish for the restaurant is excellent - we have even had it for dinner.

This was a great ocean-side restaurant on the La Jolla coast. The setting is beautiful – the only caution is that the hot, dry winter has dried the bird guano on the rocks and the smell is pretty strong throughout the entire coast line. Given that, the food was excellent. The California Chicken Wrap was superb. Thick chunks of chicken... More

I love French Toast but don't get it from here unless you like a huge under cooked bread that is doughy in the middle. Also since it is right next to the water the smell of the sea lions does not mix well while eating your food.

My fiance and I were directed here by a friend who comes to the San Diego area frequently. We were staying in San Diego the night before and wanted to know where a great brunch place was. We drove the 20mins to La Jolla to come to Brockton Villa, with a booking of course. A booking is a must for... More

We sat on the porch next to the window, overlooking La Jolla Cove... the perfect view! The service was friendly, efficient, and spot on. I ordered the Toast Coast, a beautiful and delicious presentation of their signature French toast, with side fruit. The OJ was fresh pressed. This is a perfect spot for a brunch date, but they do serve... More

We've come here a couple of times for breakfast. There are some seats with a nice views but most seats eother have partial view or no view of the beach. It also really smells like the seals so if you're sensitive to that it might be hard to enjoy your meal. Their portions are huge! We've never been able to... More

My husband and I took a long walk to from La Jolla to Bird Rock for brunch. The meal was not your run-of-the-mill brunch. Choices, presentation and food were delicious. We sat at the bar and found the young lady tending bar to be delightful. Even though busy she was attentive and kept eye contact with all sitting at her... More
