Such a fun coffee drink selection! We enjoyed our yummy French toast and coffee while watching the swimmers, snorkelers, kayakers, and sea lions. The staff treated us like family, and you can't beat the location.

Overlooking La Jolla Cove, you couldn't get a better view. The "Epic Chowder at $4/cup was flavorful and full of sea clams and blue crab. My shrimp and clam pappardelle ($22) was delicious, as was the complimentary bread. The best was trio of creme brûlée, vanilla bean, chocolate and raspberry ($7.) The chamomile tea was in a pouch filled with... More

The food was delicious and the service wonderful. We shared our meals so we could taste more food. The food wasn't so much that we felt stuffed. We had the Coast Toast dessert and I would recommend it with coconut gelato. YUM. We were seated outside and could overlook the cove and hear the seals. Make sure you give yourself... More

Had read the reviews for this restaurant and was looking forward to a wonderful meal. Upon reaching the restaurant I realized that I would be disappointed. Was seated on the porch and was immediately overwhelmed with the stench from the beach. Did nothing for the ambiance. The tables are close together so you are always feel that you have to... More

This restaurant is in an historical building with lots of character overlooking La Jolla Cove. We really enjoyed our liter of Pomegranate Mimosas (served after 11am), French Toast, Banana chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, & bacon. The smell can be a problem in this area, but the smell was not an issue when we were there. We were outside on the... More

If you sit on the patio down front, you have a nice view of the water, but can have a very unpleasant smell from the seals. You may want to sit back further. The food was rather expensive and only average to our taste.

I must admit upfront that I was wary of eating here after having walked the beach in front of the restaurant and being over-whelmed by the stench. I'm not sure if it is the seals or what, but something smelled awful. However, once we sat down at Brockton Villa, on the veranda overlooking the water, it was a beautiful dinner... More

Stopped here for brunch while visiting the beach. A good menu, breakfast dishes served until 3pm at weekends. A good selection of American favourites mixed in with mexican influence. A good vegetarian selection as well

Seeing La Jolla for the first time is an experience in it's self. It is so quaint and charming. The views from the village are picturesque. Down at waters' edge are seals paying a basking on the shore. Right above, the Brockton Villa Restaurant is located. It's location and charming exterior makes you want to sit and enjoy the view.... We had a late lunch here and it was a very nice experience. It is in front of La Jolla Cove, so the views are the best. The food is very good also!
