This restaurant has a really nice ambiance and had it not been dark out, would have had spectacular ocean views from every seat in the house. The food and service was great also! I highly reccomend Azul! Some people were dressed up, some casual.

We dined at an ocean-side window on May 1, 2013. While the rib-eye with Perigord optional sauce and the prime rib were both delicious (accompanied by an Au Bon Climat P:inot Noir), we did have some service problems but as soon as Lara Wood, a manager, was made aware of it she corrected the situation. The renovations are now completed... More

Our last night in La Jolla we enjoyed a delicious steak dinner at this lovely restaurant. The service was great the steaks were aged and tender. Nice hot sliced loaf of bread served first, and then we split a Caesar salad which they pre-split for us. Nice wine list and best of all a beautiful view of the ocean. We... More

We went to Azul's during our last trip to La Jolla and enjoyed it. When we are on the coast we love to dine where there is a view and Azul's certainly offers a wonderful view of La Jolla and the cove. The waitstaff was professional and attentive. The food was well prepared. My wife had the salmon and I... More

We ended up at this restaurant because George's was too crowded and loud. We are very glad because this place was great. The side car cocktail and the raspberry mojito were sublime. The Sommalier was excellent and knowledgeable as one should be in that position. The scallops were good but not seared to my liking, and the baked potato was... More

Food was very good, restaurant was extraordinary, smart and innovative, we were a very large group and were given a glass enclosed dining room which was really great. The service was excellent though a bit limited for vegetarians in our group.

On February 7, 2013 we participated in the monthly (March update: wine tasting has been put on hold for an indefinite period of time) Wine Tasting they have in the courtyard with the sommelier Will and tasted some interesting wines. We then went over to the bar area and Mike there prepared some margaritas for us before bringing us some... More

A regular at this restaurant which is close to home. Great happy hour with excellent food for little more than the cost of fast food, and then there is the view - best with dinner service, in the restaurant, though you can get a decent view from the bar.
