Recently we visited Azul to try their happy hour menu. What a delightful bar menu at happy hour prices. They serve a delicious flat iron steak with some of the most tastiest fries - such that you would find in France. Manager came by to introduce himself and when I shared my love of Sauvignon blanc he opened a bottle... More

Absolutely superb. Ordered it medium rare and this was the best steak I had in my life. It was on the happy hour menu so can't complain about that. My fiancee took me here for my birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Were there around 5-6pm, on weekday, not too busy. **If visiting from out of town,... More

One of the first places in La Jolla to offer a really good Happy Hour. Eat outside or in the bar. Both are great venues. Their menu changes every once in awhile..but get the french fries. To die for. And the sliders...sometimes beef, tuna, or pork. Their ahi stack is terrific. Hours for happy hour are 4-7...longer than anyone else... More

The restaurant has an enviable location overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the surfers and boaters and lots of marine seals. We had a wonderful waitress who tried to please us, but had not help from the kitchen. One of us had the prix fixe menu which had an appetizer, an entree and dessert. Pretty much uneatable. A cut of halibut which... More

Great food, amazing view. Tip: make a reservation and request a window table at sunset, also after ordering request to be directed to their roof top viewing balcony and see the sea lions.

Wanted to eat outside at George's but they had a 2.5 hour wait - walked next door and they had a table ready for our family of 5 within minutes. They even let us in with shorts, ballcaps and untucked shirts. The atmosphere was very nice and all staff that we interacted with were great. The view overlooking La Jolla... More

Best kept secret in San Diego. Azul's has a reasonably priced Sunday brunch special with a wonderful choice of menu items which comes with a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary. (Bloody Mary may have a small extra charge.. Beautiful location. Tastefullly decorated restaurant, and magnificient views La Jolla Harbor. Enjoy brunch while watching the swimmers, kayakers, and seals.

Came here for a birthday dinner. We normally go to Eddie V's for steak, but wanted to try Azul. The setting was great, but the service was very poor. The table next to us ended up paying for their meal once the entrees came and left soon after because the server neglected them the whole time. This place would probably... More

Went with a friend for apetizer and drinks. We were dressed very casually and only wanted apetizers as we had a big lunch. The food was great and the wine as well, amazing view. Big downpoint was the waitress (judy), I guess you need to be dressed fancy and be old to get good service ... very dissapointed. Will I... More
