Excellent food and service but noisy

We had an excellent meal and the service was very good, but this restaurant got very noisy. At a table for 5, I was sitting on the end and could only talk to the people next to me. If it were not for the noise, it would be 5 stars.

We went to Roy's September 16th and ate dinner on the deck. Great views, service and drinks. The food however was over cooked, the waitress had even inquired about how each of us would like our main fish course prepared. The four of us had all visited their restaurant in mauii and had a great experience. I would recommend that... More

The usual Roy's food was great. My wife liked her seafood dish, son liked his Jambalaya and another son went thru his Mahi-mahi quickly, totally enjoyed. Only complaint that his steamed veggies were still hard. It might be the Sunday (Labor Day) crowd, but seating took too long, even with a reservation at 6:15. The mai-tai came quickly but a... More

It is true you get what you pay for and every bite will tell you so. This is the place where you appreciate fine food and the skills required to make it. One of my top 3 favorite restaurants in San Diego hands down!

This is one of the best restaurants in San Diego County. The food is excellently prepared, the service is exceptional, and their is a nice environment. The water server does not let you glass get more than two inches below the top and you get a refill. The price fixe dinners are a great bargain, the chef knows how to... More

We love Roy's in Waikiki so we were excited to try the LaJolla Roy's. We were not disappointed. Delicious seafood -sushi, butterfish, mahi mahi. Our server was friendly and funny. The place is busy but very pretty and tables were a decent distance apart. Evening was pricey, but worth it.

Restaurant was suggested by hotel staff and it was a great suggestion: we had a wonderful time at Roy's and ate great food. The fish trio was brilliant as was the service throughou dinner. Not top marks as it is too obvious that it is a restaurant chain present in many US cities.

For fine dining along the marina, Roys is as good as it gets. The service here has always been great. The food is good but not why you would come here. You can get better food for less elsewhere but you wont be disappointed overall. If you sit outside, ask for a cushion, the wooden chairs are not for the... More

It's closeness to my hotel - Embassy suites and its food and ambìance. Service and waiters' appearance are good, too.
