This was totally off the chain😊👍. Our server Scotty was very pleasant and personable. He was well knowledgeable of the menu. He had a very positive attitude on satisfying his customers. We had the "Main lobster and shrimp special". This is what I always order when in town. I usually have it steamed but to change up the meal a... More

What a great location and wow what tasty food. Our waiter Scott could not have been more attentive. His recommendations were right on the mark. From the baked Oysters to the Macadamia Ice Cream pie the meal and service was memorable. Be very careful when they suggest you order their sea food grill to share. The price was $125.00 for... More

Son and I shared a great meal of fresh seafood. Waiter so attentive and excellent. It was terrific. Great view of La Jolla even at night.

Daniel our waiter was great! He suggested the baked oysters to start and they were sooo delicious we kind of wished we would have ordered more until our seafood platter (which we shared) arrived.. And it was more than enough! It was all amazing but the king crab legs were beyond our expectations making this meal one of our "top... More

We went to the Crab Catcher several years ago on another trip to LaJolla and loved it, but no so this time. Fish did not seem as fresh and some appetizers appeared to be just microwaved. Will not go back again.

I ordered the HALIBUT with Boniato sweet potato & plantain mash, Chinese long beans, miso honey beurre blanc - $34 and we also ordered the Black Mussel Fettuccini with slow roasted tomatoes, fennel, Spanish chorizo, whole grain mustard cream - $28. Everything was absolutely perfect about this experience from the moment we walked in the door and the hostess greeted... More

We were visiting La Jolla for the day and had lunch outdoors at Crab Catcher. The view from our patio table against the glass was spectacular. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we were not disappointed. I had the crab cake sandwich which was delicious. My friend had the fish & chips and the portion was huge and tasty. She... More

The name and casual exterior can be a bit misleading. This is actually an expensive, high end sea food restaurant not a casual raw bar. After entering the building at street level the restaurant is down a flight or two. The space itself, especially the outside table area , is very attractive and many tables have good water vistas. Service... More

Great seafood menu, good service, vibrant lively spot fairly upmarket, plenty of choice in menu and seating can be inside or out. Theres a very wide range of possible seating/rooms In the evening, outside tables are under patio heaters but some are more exposed than others although there are screens

We were in La Jolla recently and had lunch at Crab Catcher. We had a seafood dish with a glass of wine and the food was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant.
