The view from the restaurant is spectacular. The food is a bit pricy but the quality is great. Enjoyed our lunch! The chilled oysters were excellent! Recommended.

A little known find inside CrabCatcher is it's Ocean Tapas Bar, which has happy hour from 3-9 with decent priced drinks ($4 beers, $8 martinis) and discounted apps. This is definitely a great place to go if you want to sample some CrabCatcher food without the expensive prices. The nachos with crab meat and the crab stuffed mushrooms are worth... More

This has been my favorite Saturday lunch spot for years. Yesterday we had lunch and noticed that the prices had gone up considerably since our last visit a few months ago. Also, there is no longer the option of pasta salad with the sandwiches, just fries or a green salad for an additional $2. We sat inside which is not... More

Was looking for a good place for a light seafood dinner, and discovered the Crab Catcher. More formal dining on one side and a casual tapas bar on the other, with icy cold beer and great fresh seafood tapas on the other. Fresh oysters and ahi tuna tacos! Yummy! Recommended!

We dined at the Crab Catcher for the first time last week. We arrived for an early dinner and enjoyed the view. My husband ordered the halibut and I had crab stuffed mahi. Both were very good, however, I was surprised my entrée did not include a serving of veggies. Our appetizer of crab stuffed wontons was tasty but not... More

It is. And the food is very, very, good. The view is spectacular. A favorite of locals and tourists alike. Bring you credit card, the prices are a bit steep.

I love El Crabcatcher so much that it was the location my girls picked for a very special birthday party for me! The seafood is delicious, the service outstanding, the parking close by and affordable. Try the Happy Hour Specials in the bar--if you are early enough you can enjoy them in a little corner table overlooking La Jolla Cove!... More

Our family dined at the Crab Catcher recently; the menu is extensive, service was excellent and the food was superb. Since we dined at night, I will have to return the next time I am in southern California so I can see the "view." Everyone enjoyed their meals, even the one that had steak! The crab cake (small plate) was... More

My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was everything we expected. We were fortunate to get seated near a window for the breath taking views. The service was formal but cozy at the same time; you did not have that stuffy uptight feeling of similar upscale restaurants. The food was absolutely amazing. (we laughed at ourselves... More
