Very enjoyable and the outside patio is lovely

We had a wonderful lunch accompanied by a few very good drinks. We all really enjoyed our meal and they were nice enough to allow our pet to join us. The food was prepared carefully and was absolutely delicious.

We had an outstanding seafood feast on the patio and watched the sunset. The wine was a great compliment to the lobster, crab legs and shrimp feast for two. Julie was an excellent server, very knowledgeable and there when you needed her, but gave you plenty of time to enjoy the meal and views.

We had pre dinner drinks at the Crab Catcher, and enjoyed the view. We sat at the bar and had a couple of specialty martinis that were quite good, although it did take a while to get them brought to us. The young girl that served us was lovely and friendly. The unfortunate thing about the location of the restaurant... More

This restaurant had a wonderful view. It was a little chilly so the outside heaters were on which was nice. Our waiter, Michael, was great. The food was good. We used a "living social" coupon which was wonderful because the restaurant is expensive.

We are never disappointed at the Crab Catcher. The food, venue, service and professional care are a benchmark for excellence in La Jolla Cove. Our dinner, as always, was pure heaven. The roasted oyster and tuna special catch of the day was phenomenally delicious. This is a truly beautiful restaurant, family owned for many years, and the quality shows. Jamie,... More

The crab cake at this restaurant was heavenly.....by far the best I have EVER had (even in New England) Pure white lump crab meat....and it was baked. Absolutely delicious. We noticed they had seared bay scallops so we asked if the chef could prepare them fried. They did...coated in a bread crust....and they were also way above average. Atmosphere at... More

Ok - we were a half hour late (touring San Diego) arriving and that seemed to make all the difference in the world. We didn't get a very nice table - couldn't even see the ocean...which is one of the main reasons we chose to go there. We really wanted to eat on the patio. I started off with the... More

Located right on the main strip in La Jolla, the setting is great and the menu looks interesting but overall the food is rather bland and unimaginative. There are so many great choices in La Jolla, this is not a restaurant I would return to.

Although a bit pricey, it is worth it! Our waiter was excellent and we loved the crab! They often have discounts online so check first and save some$!

WOW! Showed up at 7:00 PM Saturday night with no reservation. Was told that at 8:00 - 8:15 we would be seated, at a table on the patio (even better!) at 8:30 we got worried! At 8:40 we were informed that we were repeatedly passed over because they were "slammed" and they would have us a table in 5 minutes... More
