My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was everything we expected. We were fortunate to get seated near a window for the breath taking views. The service was formal but cozy at the same time; you did not have that stuffy uptight feeling of similar upscale restaurants. The food was absolutely amazing. (we laughed at ourselves... More

We walked to the restaurant from our hotel and were seated in a nice location near the ocean view side. But at night the view doesn't much matter. So we concentrate on the food. Delicious Caeser salads to start with a wonderful French Sauvignon Blanc. For entres we ate "Mussels Pasta," a creamy dish, and a pan-fried Halibut presentation --... More

The good part -- the food was delicious, and the Friday half-price wine deal was a great deal. The entrée prices were high, but I ordered only an appetizer, which was sufficient for a meal. Now for the not-so-good part -- I sat outside, which would have been very pleasant if it had not been for the music, which was... More

We've been here twice. Both times we missed out on the tables next to the fantastic views! We were randomly placed in the courtyard, 20 feet away so already I'm slightly annoyed. Looking at the menu and the price I feel like I'm paying for that view. The food was great. The service was great. But I'm paying premium -... More

I received a gift certificate for this restaurant otherwise we never would have gone. We made reservations for the opening time and requested a window table, but not only was the reservation incorrect, they we did not get the table as requested. Valet parking was also very expensive. The food and service was very good, however. I was somewhat put... More

This is my third visit to Crab Catcher. The first two times were very enjoyable, the last not so much. Unfortunately, the middle of September, La Jolla was unseasonably hot. As with many establishments in La Jolla, air conditioning is not prevalent because of their normally temperate weather. Not this time. It was 90+ degrees with 100% humidity. The worst... More

Between the view, service and amazing food it was an overall fabulous experience. I had probably the best crab stuffed fish!

We had lunch there during Restaurant Week. The crab bisque was sublime. So were the crab sliders. There's a lot of indoor seating, but you can't go wrong on the patio overlooking the ocean.

We were looking for a spot, that we loved brunch on our previous visit to La Jolla and found it in the "Crab Catcher"! What a spectacular brunch, fantastic view ( got lovelier with all that Champagne) and warm hospitality! We loved it again so much we are looking forward to our next visit to La Jolla!
