Top notch breakfast in La Jolla

My wife, daughter and I stopped here for breakfast after reading many TA reviews. We were in San Diego for a few days so decided to make a day of it in La Jolla. The cafe is easy to find although parking is not if you are not used to the layout. I drove past the cafe, turned left twice... read more

This was a great experience. Needed a table for six and they provided one quickly during a very fast paced time of the day. Everyone in the party ordered something different and we all raved about the food. Now, the big treat was Vivienne! She was by far the best waitress we encountered in Southern California. Ask for her, and... More

Today we had eggs, hash browns and bacon. Normally I have their superb waffles. The food is great. Go early,a s it is always busy on the weekend. We were there ay 7:00 AM and had the pick of a table. Our waitress was very nice and competent. It is a La Jolla institution.

Harry's is a great throwback coffee shop that serves a great breakfast. According to the history reported on the menu, Harry Sr. moved to La Jolla from Brooklyn in 1960 and wanted to replicate the look and feel of an East Coast diner. Job well done, Harry! If you are so inclined, Harry Jr. will gladly converse with you about... More

The staff was fast, friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding. Had a large and varied menu. I had the chipped beef which I have not seen on a menu in decades. Excellent.

not only does Harry's have the BW Benny that is to die for, it also has an amazing atmosphere filled with the nicest people in town and amazing workers. The silver fox milkshake is one of the many unique things to try there.

Breakfast, lunch, snack on a highly diverse menu of good, well prepared foods at reasonable prices served by very friendly staff who respond to every wish or comment. The decor contains a collection of high school and professional sports memorabilia that is delightful along with Norman Rockwell prints. I also am delighted by the way they keep track of guests... Step back in time and enjoy some great food in a landmark diner. Breakfast all day, delicious sandwiches, and great coffee are just some of the goodies that await you at Harry's. Established in 1960, this landmark diner has friendly, efficient staff and really good food. Our server was quick and the food arrived just as we ordered. The bottomless... More

A real step back in time. We saw this place after a shopping trip to Von's, across the street, checked it out on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try on our last morning, good decision. It must be a local haven because everyone called everyone by name- the patrons and the help. It was theist breakfast we had... More

Best I've ever had! Hash browns done just right & sourdough toast that had that real sourdough taste & texture. Our server, Shelly, was outstanding. Attentive & cheerful on a busy Saturday morning. Plenty of free parking in the back. This little place has it all going on. We didn't even try the great looking cinnamon rolls. I guess we'll... More
