Great lunch with a picturesque patio view

We met a friend here for lunch when we were visiting in Oceanside. She lives in the area and suggested the place--what a great suggestion. There was a line-up when we arrived at 1:30 on a weekday but we didn't wait long and still got a seat on the outside patio with a great view of the cove... read more

Recently my wife and I enjoyed a casual lunch at Cody's in La Jolla, Ca. This was a return visit for us. We both had the Fish & Chips which was very good and well priced. Service was very good. We both had soft drinks which were served in Mason jars. Out door seating provides and view of the ocean.... More

By all accounts - most everything looked pretty good. We had the fish n' chips and chicken club. The fish n' chips was really good. The chicken club was ok. Probably worth a little wait but there's lots of good places around La Jolla. A little pricey but it's La Jolla. Also nice to eat on the deck.

Cody's La Jolla is our go-to for a Saturday or Sunday breakfast or lunch when we want generous portions, great food with an organically grown, locally sourced vibe, unpretentious service by hard-working 20- and 30-somethings and a nice view of the ocean from the tables on the wrap-around patio and a couple tables inside. Apparently, we're not the only ones,... More

I stopped here for lunch while in La Jolla. I was the last customer to be seated before they closed. Lucky me! I had the best fish and chips in the US (just as good as the ones I had in Ireland) and some local beer recommended by my waiter (I don't remember the name but it was excellent). The... More

My husband and I decided to have lunch at Cody's based on TA reviews. We got there and saw a HUGE line, but asked what wait time would be. She told us 20 minutes only to call our name less than a minute later. I guess several other people put their names in and then walked away. So the lesson.....STICK... More

The restaurant had a cheerful and relaxed vibe. Food was great! We had the Lobster roll and it was perfect. We did have a little bit of trouble locating the restaurant. If you're at the end of Girard street but still can't find the place, cross Prospect St and walk down the slope.

Perfect quick and wholesome lunch. Great presentation in a sourdough bread bowl. Crack your own crab claw. $10. What's not to like.

The menu is quite extensive and has many vegetarian and vegan options. The drinks, appetizers, and brunch entrées were delicious. The salads were fabulous, generously portioned, and the grilled salmon was terrific. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because the line can be outrageous. Parking is also difficult but there is a parking lot around the corner for... More

La Jolla is just a beautiful area. We were just walking around town trying to figure out where to eat and stumbled upon this place and noticed their lobster rolls. That was it for us. The food was so good and fresh. These rolls were stacked with lobster meat. It came with a fresh side of cole slaw and crispy... More
