Service was wonderful. Enzo is a great host and his home made wine is the best. Don't miss it. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially in the evening. We had a rehersal dinner there and couldn't be happier.

A short, but energizing walk up the stairs from La Jolla Cove Suites and a left down Prospect street, is La Dolce Vita. It's right across street from Georges in a plaza. Our first night in San Diego and we found a good Barbera Barolo, the 2005 was out of our price range, but the 2010 was less than half... More

Wonderful little bistro in La Jolla. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the food and it's preparation, and the food was amazing. I had the fettucini bolognese and was surprised, but delighted that it was a very light tomato sauce, and not the heavy tomato cream sauce usually made for this dish. When I asked about it, the waiter said... More

After putting our name for a 45 min wait at a spot closer to shore, we walked the area and found La Dolce Vita right off the main street. We sat outside in the courtyard by the fountain and had a very pleasant afternoon catching up with friends we hadn't seen in some time. Food was really fresh, well seasoned... More

We arrived in La Jolla late and wanted simple and good food that would not break the bank. Most of the restaurants we stopped at had main courses at $30 - $40 but La Dolce Vita was very reasonable and everything tasted freshly made. Home made bread, pasta and the bruschetta was outstanding.

This small restaurant is big on service and taste! They bake authentic Italian bread every morning and it is hard not to make a meal of bread and dip! We enjoyed the homemade soup and split a veal entree and dessert. Just perfect portions for small appetites. They also have patio service and live music when the weather is good.... More

At first glance, it is very simple and modest, but after trying their bread, I knew they were legit. Also, it helps to hear languages from all over the world throughout the restaurant to know that it must be pretty good. After primo piatti, it was excellent, with each plate increasing in complexity, texture, and flavor. To end, their cannolo... More

We decided to take a chance on this and were very surprised! The service was excellent and the food was even better! The Lobster ravioli is to die for.

It's a cute restaurant and the service was excellent. Loved the waitress who was very attentive without being annoying. The food was not spectacular for the price.

Stopped in for dinner around 6:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly empty. The host asked if we had reservations and we told him we didn't. He turned us away saying he had too many reservations. It was a cold rainy night and very unlikely that 20 tables of people would be coming in. I was very disappointed... More
