A little gem

Michele Coulon Dessertier is a lovely spot for lunch, or a decadent dessert. The ambiance is French; care is taken with the seasonal decorations, and there are always beautiful flower arrangements. At his time of year the chandeliers were suitably dripping a few tasteful Christmas decorations. The... read more

Small but delicate little shop conveniently located in la jolla. I ordered an espresso and variety of desserts to take back to our home. Our triple chocolate cake was decedent and took two days to actually finish. My espresso was good but lacked flavor. The cheesecake bites were great too. It is expensive but a nice treat!

By far the BEST in La Jolla! San Diego has "Extraordinary Desserts" and La Jolla has "Michele's". The top of the list for a wedding cake! She uses the best ingredients, no skimping here, not cheap, but if you are going to have desert - have the BEST and enjoy it. Small shop, look in their case, make your choice,... More

Michele Coulon is hidden away in an outdoor arcade on Fay Ave. in the Village of La Jolla, but offers one of the "go to" spots for a sweet treat or local lunch. Her deserts are as good as they are beautiful. This little gem is a great little spot to get away after a day of shopping.

I am a big fan of good desserts and this is the ONLY place I buy cakes, tarts, and everyday treats from. The owner, Michelle Coulon, and her staff bake a wonderful assortment of cakes (all sizes and shapes), french pastries, fresh fruit tarts and pies, jams, cookies, and so much more! They are incredibly talented when it comes to... More

This is the only high quality Bakery in town. It's my go to for Yule Logs, Gluten Free treats for GF Dinner Party Guests when I don't have time to whip something up (and Birthday Cakes). Michele uses only the best ingredients for her creations and the girls that work there are pleasant to deal with. I'd love it if... More

My wife and I were on our way to San Diego and stopped in La Jolla. We usually go to Girard Gormet, but were sent here on a recommendation of our lunch waiter. Thank you! This is a cute little bakery tucked in the back of a courtyard of shops. Just a few tables, great coffee and tea, and little... More

Michelle is the consumate desert chef...she was fantastic at the Beligian Lion, learning from a true chef *her father". The quality has remained high for as long as she has been in business. I go here often for the family and bring her creations to the homes of friends.

I love the many desserts that Michelle Coulon has on display at any moment. They are as delicious as they are beautiful. And, my friends appreciate my bringing an assortment along with me to complete a beautiful meal.

Ordered Buche de Noel here and it was the star of the Holiday Dinner amongst some snarly food Snobs. Absolutely delicious! Super cute little place and the custom cakes are off the hook!
