I went with the whole family to Taco Tuesday: $2 tacos and $3 beers, so how can you go wrong? We made a reservation and were seated promptly (others arriving without a reservation were being told there was a 40-minute wait for a table). Friendly hostess, friendly waitress, everyone was very nice. The restaurant was crowded, noisy, and fun. We... More

Decided to try the newly converted (from fast-casual to sit-down dinning) Puesto Restaurant, in Downtown La Jolla. Sat by the bar with a group of friends. Perfect Margarita - Perfect :) Red Sangria 4/5 Tried "La verdad" 5/5 Chips and salsa were excellent. Salsa is very fresh, with enough spice to leave you wanting more... 5/5 Esquite (corn on the... This is a great restaurant if you can make it past the lady on the door. She is so unhelpful. We arrived at 7.05 for a 7.15 reservation and she suggested that we stay outside until the table was ready. Is there a bar? Yeah, but it's kinda full. We waited in the bar until 7.25 - and only sat... More

Loved the decor and atmosphere of Puesto. The whole restaurant is open to the outside with a bunch of roll-up doors, they have great bar top seating inside that faces open windows as well as a great patio - loved it! The service was friendly and helpful with my GF needs, thankfully, much on the menu is GF or can... More

I love that they have so many different options when it comes to tacos! One of my favorites was the zucchini and cactus flower taco, I also enjoyed their filet mignon. The food was served fast and fresh. Puestos will not disappoint.

We went there for taco Tuesday night. The tacos were delicious. Margaritas were good, but very expensive and I would say they were overpriced. It was very busy as the evening went on so I would either recommend getting there early or making reservations.

Interesting tacos on the menu. My favorites were the zucchini and cactus flower, the mahi mahi and the filet mignon. The baja is a typical fried fish taco, good but greasy if you're used to eating healthy. Definitely order the side of corn, crazy good! Delicious margaritas, taste like they're made from scratch and no mix. That's probably why they... More

After several days of eating not too healthy food on vacation in Southern California, my family (wife + 2 kids ages 9 and 11) and I decided to eat something simple, but healthy and tasty. While in La Jolla, we wanted something Mexican, and Puesta came up. The very idea of eating street food is fun, and Puesto brought that... More

Shrimp tacos, and house made guacamole here excellent. The wait is well worth it. Some of the best shrimp & fish tacos in La Jolla.
