This great restaurant sits right on the ocean in La Jolla so the view is spectacular. And the food is just as good. We sat on the roof deck and were able to order off the happy hour menu and then went to the regular menu for dinner. For appetizers we had a tuna sushi stack, calamari with red pepper... More

This restaurant tries to be a throw-back to the Sinatra era but just comes across as pretentious and over done. Many of the fish entrees come heavily laden with sauce. I prefer light, fresh flavors. The server was intrusive in his attempt to be Mr. Personality. It's very expensive. I would rather spend my money at a different kind of... More

We've been to almost all of the Eddie V's around the US and this by far is our favorite. The view is amazing whether you are in the bar or in the dining room. You don't have to be a steak lover either. The seafood is equally as amazing. Some of our favorites are the lobster taco's, beets and the... More

Everything was very good. The swordfish was perfectly prepared, etc. Not as creative as some of the other SD meals we had. Great views (added one point to rating), though we ate dinner when it was already dark. The service was a bit too formal for our taste.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not have had a better experience. Delightful staff, excellent service, delicious food as well as oceanfront table with rose petals ! Heirloom tomatoes were beyond perfect. Entrees top notch. Complimentary butter cake with bananas foster beyond compare. Unlike marine room, it is a classy restaurant!

We ended up at Eddie V's for early happy hour on Saturday. We enjoyed the place so much we ended up staying for several hours. Great service, music, drinks and food. The bisque was amazing, as was the crab and calamari appetizers The view was terrific. It was the perfect way to spend the end of our first day of... More

We were spoiled for choices on what to order, so we went along with our server's recommendation, and everything tasted amazing! You MUST order the Crab Cakes, we literally wanted to cry when we first tasted it. (i know it sounds dramatic, but it was really good) The Mac & Cheese was equally awesome, although I wished I had asked... More

Good friends took us to Eddie V's for dinner and we were blown away! Great atmosphere, great food, and awesome service. It was so good we went back the following day for lunch on the deck overlooking the bay it it was amazing. We had the Lump Crap appetizer, Lobster Tacos and Grouper -- all were exceptional. This is a high quality seafood and steak restaurant, situated above the La Jolla Bay. It would be an ideal spot for a special occasion. We had a table overlooking the water and watched the lights twinkling around the bay as we dined. Gabriel did an excellent job of describing the menu and making us feel welcome. Our steaks were... Nice steak and seafood spot. Plan on spending $250 - $325 for two peoples, with drinks, appetizer and entree. Up on the second floor will afford the best views of the cove and open air dining. Classic menu and a nice wine list.
