Mustangs & Burros is a classic Territorial Ranch style restaurant with a cozy and intimate dining room, featuring a spacious patio reminiscent of a Spanish hacienda. Both areas feature wonderful and inviting fireplaces. Enjoy delicious small plates inspired by the Southwest and extraordinary house crafted cocktails, including innovative margaritas & our very own M & B Sangria, or join us for dinner and experience Chef Kramers' regional cuisine inspired by the season. The Mustangs & Burros Culinary Team pride themselves on utilizing locally grown and sustainable ingredients in a fresh, unique and imaginative way.

We were staying at the Estancia Resort which houses the M&B restaurant/bar. The ambiance both inside but especially out very inviting w/ huge fireplace & covered patio seating around. Along the wall of the fireplace benches w/ pillows & heater make it very cozy. We made reservations for the Saturday before Christmas & asked if we can bring our bottle... More

I did not realize the restaurant was in the Estancia Hotel so keep that in mind if you want to find it. There is a lot of outside seating by fireplaces. Beautiful grounds. The service was wonderful and I would go back again. The menu is very limited but decent. The chips are spicy but good. I had a hamburger... More

Made reservations for a birthday celebration..requested a table by the fire..was told that I was all set. Arrived to find out that the restaurant was closed for a private party and was shuffled off to another noisy, less desirable location. The staff was apologetic BUT the food was not that great. A fish entrée was raw and had to be... More

You can have order a four course meal or you can graze on your favorites. One night we shared an ginormous plate of nachos and topped it off with dessert.

After a long day of travel, we opted for an early dinner and drinks. We were lucky enough to be there for happy hour and there were fish tacos on the menu for $7.00 for 3. Our waiter told us, he thought they were incredible and we both ordered them and split a chopped salad. My husband and I agree... More

I recently stayed for a few days at Estancia La Jolla, a decent resort hotel where I've stayed before while attending events at the neighbouring Salk Institute. There isn't really very much around the hotel, so if you want to eat somewhere within walking distance you're pretty much confined to the hotel. The Mustangs and Burros restaurant is the main...
