You can have order a four course meal or you can graze on your favorites. One night we shared an ginormous plate of nachos and topped it off with dessert.

After a long day of travel, we opted for an early dinner and drinks. We were lucky enough to be there for happy hour and there were fish tacos on the menu for $7.00 for 3. Our waiter told us, he thought they were incredible and we both ordered them and split a chopped salad. My husband and I agree... More

I recently stayed for a few days at Estancia La Jolla, a decent resort hotel where I've stayed before while attending events at the neighbouring Salk Institute. There isn't really very much around the hotel, so if you want to eat somewhere within walking distance you're pretty much confined to the hotel. The Mustangs and Burros restaurant is the main... Great atmosphere, good food, but overpriced. It wouldn't survive if it was part of the Estancia hotel.

Good specialty cocktails and sangria! Service from Vanessa was awesome! Tried a lot of different food and loved everything! Grab a table outside by the fireplace and enjoy a relaxing dinner.

This quaint spot had great drinks and atomsphere. Very uneven and rushed service, piling entrees on top of salads without thought. Food was uninspired but competently prepared. Seems like a tourist trap, but could shine for the locals with more spice, creativity and a better trained staff.

The outdoor dining area of the restaurant is amazing. You are in a patio like setting, with a huge outdoor fire place. The foods was really good, too. I had halibut on creamy risotto.

This is a great, relaxed environment to have drinks and appetizers outside. They have a great, big, gas fireplace to stare into and daydream. The drinks are good and so is the food. Check out the shrimp quesadilla.

5 Stars is all I have to say for the Mustangs and Burros restaurant in the beautiful Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. July 4th, we had made last minutes reservations and were accepted, we sat in the more casual outside dining area with the heaters (Mustangs and Burros), Our server was fantastic. Food and drinks came out with perfect... More
