I was disperate for a restroom. I ducked into this local coffee shop, only to find the single restroom occupied. Carlos kept me company while he hustled about serving and clearing. Short of a century, I was finally about to be get in. By that time Carlos has taken my coffee order and convinced me to return for a meal,... More

Yes.. I too love the Cottage, and Harry's for breakfast, but my most favorite is the Coffee cup. It is a small couple kind of place or breakfast with a friend to catch up. Coffee cup offers a healthy yummy breakfast to start your day. Service can be slow, but it is friendly. It is not a rushed pancake house kind... More

Stopped by for our first breakfast in La Jolla. Had the eggs benedict and my niece had pancakes. Both were great. Loved the rosemary potatoes. Coffee was good. Service was good.

I called ahead 20 minutes to swing by and pick up a simple breakfast burrito. I wound up waiting for my burrito for 40 minutes after I arrived. Biggest waste of my time to stop at this place. Doesn't matter how good the food is because the service is terrible. Do yourself a favor and skip Coffee Cup and go... More

Great food, great flavors. Service shines with tons of flair! Fun place to get breakfast. We ordered breakfast tacos, corn tortillas soft and crispy edges. Chipotle sauce delicious, and just the right amount of heat. I ordered the pesto eggs whites (they needed their yolks for more flavor IMHO), they were pretty good, but I helped my wife finish her... Driving around La Jolla killing the clock for a 1pm meeting including lunch. Stopped for some coffee and a muffin, they suggested french toast. Came out perfectly done with a side of blueberry sauce and some fruit. Just what I needed. Staff was very attentive and polite.

We stopped here for breakfast on our last day in La Jolla and were not disappointed! The server was friendly and attentive and the food was of great quality, fresh and tasty. I am picky about how my bacon is cooked (crispy but not overdone) and theirs was perfect! My boyfriend was really happy with his breakfast tacos and he... More

YUM! We're glad we stumbled upon this place. There is a small outdoor patio with seating but we chose to sat inside. There isn't much room inside, so don't expect a lot of space or don't come here if you're looking for quiet atmosphere. We had breakfast here before heading out to Joshua Tree National Park for the day. Coffee... More

Overall, this place was good. The food was delicious, and it was extremely filling. The menu definitely was a nice change of pace from many other breakfast/brunch places. The service was basically non-existent, and we had to ask to have our water filled up twice. Furthermore, it's insanely cramped inside, and people are basically eating elbow to elbow in some... More
