YUM! We're glad we stumbled upon this place. There is a small outdoor patio with seating but we chose to sat inside. There isn't much room inside, so don't expect a lot of space or don't come here if you're looking for quiet atmosphere. We had breakfast here before heading out to Joshua Tree National Park for the day. Coffee... More

Overall, this place was good. The food was delicious, and it was extremely filling. The menu definitely was a nice change of pace from many other breakfast/brunch places. The service was basically non-existent, and we had to ask to have our water filled up twice. Furthermore, it's insanely cramped inside, and people are basically eating elbow to elbow in some... More

Very tasty breakfast (roasted Anaheim chile scramble), alongside delicious strong coffee. It is small but the service is decent.

Small, not fancy, and decor needs "refreshing" (which is why I give it a 4 rather than a 5), but bountiful in good food and friendly service - which is why I think the locals continue to come to this cafe about two blocks off Girard St. I had the rosemary plate special, which included a large omelette with avocados... If we are voting for the loudest. dirtiest restaurant in La Jolla, this one wins hands down. If, on the other hand, we are rating it on the quality of its food, it is the worst. The Daily Special scramble was tasteless, and the lemonade was so watered down, it also was tasteless. Who could possibly rate this dump #1?... More

We enjoyed the Coffee Cup after a very long walk along the coast in La Jolla. Identified as a TA favorite, it did not disappoint. Potatoes with black beans, salsa, avocado with a side of eggs and bacon made for some great make your own breakfast burritos. Blackberry pancakes were tasty and light, and a four egg white and jalapeno... More

We were a little uncertain when we entered. It is small and atmosphere doesn't match the rest of the area. My blackberry pancakes were great and my husband liked his egg dish as well. Service was good also.

Not a large restaurant. We went on a Saturday morning. Recommend getting there a few minutes before opening so you get a seat. It was a French toast kind if a day with a yummy and generous 3-slice portion. Service was great. Lots of menu choices and espresso drinks. Casual. Outdoor seating was not available on this particular February morning.

Short wait, good service and excellent food. What more can you ask for? Omelet was filling and the rosemary potatoes were unique.
