Loved the fish, it could not have been fresher - outstanding grilled preparation and simple sides. The walk up to order concept (including paper plates and disposable cutlery) felt a little fast-food-like. Good wine options, & pretty casual decor. Would be nice to have more than one ladies room stall in that ginormous space. Overall a nice quick casual evening... More

My family and I visited combination restaurant / fish market . It was a cute place but very busy so you can't be in a hurry . We probably waited thirty minutes for our order . We enjoyed the very fresh and delicious fish tacos and clam chowder .

We visited this place for lunch after having a segway tour in La Jolla! Thank you Tripadvisor - I got the recommendation from you! Our lunch was as fresh as you can get it - my seafood salad, with 5 types of seafood - was fabulous! Fresh, light, and an excellent citrusy vinagrette for a dressing - didn't overpower the... More

This place is great. Perfect fish, seafood but half of the plate was full of rice and the other half was full of salad. On top of the salad there was the main seafood. And it was small pieces for us. We were there as a family. We all had plates. What I liked more is they only grill no... More

This place is great. You can get just about any kind of fish you want cooked to order. You can have it as a dinner or as a sandwich. The place is super small, usually crowded, but worth the wait. If it's not too busy, the guys behind the counter will provide plenty of information. Fish is fresh and cooked... More

The freshest and best prepared seafood in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Recently the restaurant moved across the street to nicer facility. Restaurant is very popular and created by former fishermen who really know what they are doing. Locals love and support this place. The cioppino soup is excellent and loaded with fish. Salmon burger is terrific and is prepared... More

Super amount of choices in the see-through cooler. Good food at very reasonable prices. But no place to sit. Almost have to plan a place to go and use this as take-out only.

Great fresh seafood at a good price. The food there is also amazing, with home made clam chowder that you would fight someone for!! A must do for seafood lovers and amateur chefs.

A great fish market... good selection and always the best. They will also prepare your selection if you want to eat there. A local favorite for their Clam Chowder. Very casual and family friendly. It can be a little noisy during busy times.

We have frequented El Pescador at the old location for the fresh fish rather than the restaurant which was tiny. The newly opened digs (with small parking lot) are a welcome expansion & as such, we've found ourselves eating in or taking out about once a week. You order at the counter then take a number to your table where... More
