So disappointed to drive 2 hours from Gold Beach, OR while on vacation to eat their delicious alder smoked ribs only to turn right around. We had a great dinner back in GB but it wasn't the same as Steelhead Lodge. We loved this place and its history while it was open but now we don't know when we can... More

I have been to Steelhead lodge many times over the years. I live in Humboldt county and it is legend here. Love the whole place and am currently planning a trip to take folks who have never been there. Its one of the best spots to take my out of town guests for a treat.

Doesn't get better than this. Want a friendly repose at a fabulous bar? Want to follow cocktails with the best ribs you've eaten in awhile? This is a unique restaurant, managed by a terrific husband/wife team. Superb dining for friends, fishermen, and travelers.

Very nice restaurant, great food, great service and friendly people. It was an unusual restaruant to find in this area. Nice atmosphere and the decore was very nice. If anyone is ever in this area, be sure and stop for dinner.

We ordered the steak dinner for two with a side of mushrooms off of the placemat menu. The salad was served family style with three choices of salad dressing (italian, ranch and thousand island). The salad was good except I found the ranch dressing to be very salty but it didn't stop me from enjoying it. The baked potato was... More

This was always the best meal around but I don't think so anymore. I might have to cook in my RV next time and skip going here. Chicken and ribs were over-cooked and did not have much flavor. A big disappointment this time around.

Three of us ordered the chicken/rib combo and the 8-oz ribeye and paid the $9 extra plate charge. We loved the smokey meat flavor and the baked potatoes were excellent. My companions also liked the tossed salad that I thought was boring. The rolls were delicious. However, the dessert selection only consisted of ice cream and sherbet which was disappointing... More
