We have been coming here for years and the sushi is great! The hamachi and salmon are the best I have ever had. The albacore is terrific. The Hawaiian is also great. No question about it. If you want a deal, then sit at the bar and order all you can eat for 1 hour. Happy hour is also a... More

Went here for sushi after reading some of the positive tripadvisor posts. The sushi is ok, not great. Had a Hawaiian roll, maybe yielded 5 pieces, real skimpy on the Ahi, cost was about $12 for none roll. What followed was equally unimpressive and costly. Sushi is not cheap and I am well aware of it. We eat sushi fairly... More

If you go here, do the all you can eat!! They are very generous with the servings and the amount of time you have to eat. Hiro gave us some great stuff not listed as part of the all you can eat menu, that was amazing. The fish was top notch!

Hiro is, simply put, awesome. Happy hour is fantastic. Fish is always fresh and tasty. Very creative rolls. It's a super chill atmosphere and is populated mainly by locals, which is one of the very best recommendations for it in my opinion. The place is small and cozy and decorated with interesting items. We try other places and always end... More

You would not think of Tahoe as having great sushi. However this place has super fresh fish and generoulsy sized creative rolls. The atmosphere is very tahoe local.

I stood waiting to be helped or acknowledged for at least ten minutes. The restaurant was very busy, but the two servers could not take the time to smile, say hello or even acknowledge with eye contact. Once I moved to the bar, it took five more minutes to get acknowledged. I only stayed to order because it was late... More

Very nice sushi restaurant. All you can eat sushi is available but is limited to an hour and does not include sashimi. Servings are not generous, but the fish is fresh and good. They say you must eat the rice along with the sushi and they watch to be sure you do! Sushi chefs are great; very friendly. Skip the spicy... Fabulous sushi and cooked meals at Hiro's. If you can eat a lot, go early for the "all you can eat sushi"--I practically made myself sick trying to eat a lot. Service is good. Packed on weekends. Not too bad during the week. Dinner only.
