A delicious, no frills taco place. Very inexpensive. Dinning room had no heat, but we were there on one of the coldest days the year and it was fine Great horchata too!

My friend and I stayed late in the south Salinas Valley to head out and explore and check out our favorite photo places, including the old Mission San Antonio de Padua. It was a Sunday evening and we didn't really want to head to our normal dining places so we stopped here. My friend had lingua tacos and enjoyed them... More

My only regret is that I didn't have more time and more hunger to try more of this food! Off of U.S. 101 in King City, California, a quiet little Ag Town at the South end of the great Salinas Valley, sits this tiny corner Taqueria. The place is small, but the food is BIG in flavor. Muy autentico! I... More

Two friends and I were on a 3 day motorcycle ride and decided to stop for a quick lunch. By chance we came across Tacos La Poteranca DE Jalisco what a nice surprise. We had no idea where to eat in King City and saw the place and gave it a try. The chicken soft tacos were great.

A quick trip to King City found me hungry around lunch time. I was parked across the street from La Potranca and the simple looks of the place drew me in. The menu looked perfect and the prices very low. Tacos or a burrito - how to choose? I decided on a regular carnitas burrito and was not disappointed at... More

Ordered a total of five tacos, 2 carnitas (soft and flavorful, served with green sauce), 2 asada (good flavor, plentiful with red sauce), and a chicken. Served with picked carrots and lime. There are tables inside, and a couple of long tables outside. The cashier and others at the restaurant were friendly and polite. While we were there, another person... More

La Portranca is a great place. We go here for the Sopes de carnitas ,. Burritos are huge, tacos are good , but the sopes are the Bomb ! Really affordable ! $ Lots of working people come and get lunch here ! Fast service

I have had his food at several Chamber dinners. His food is the worst and I always go away hungry. Other Mexican food restaurants beat this easily. From this experience, I would never go to his taco stand.

This place is so amazing. Perfect order and go. Best tacos, burritos, sopas, and the Horchata omggggg! Delicious! They have places to sit both inside and out, and the prices are not bad at all. Family owned, plus they catered my friends wedding and baby shower. Friendly and fast a must have!

I love Mexican food, but I am more likely to go to a chain restaurant than an Authentic Mexican food stand. This place had high reviews on Yelp, however, and I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed. They let my husband and I try 6 different kind of meats - 3 of which we'd never had before... More
