The best of local fishermen, farmers and ranchers on a menu reflecting the cultures that settled Sonoma County. Set between vineyards in the Valley Of The Moon, The Kenwood offers indoor, outdoor and bar dining with a pond and bocce court to relax at after or during. Chef Anthony Paone presents a menu of housemade specials that change with the season and availability to give the taste of Sonoma cooking.

There's a new sheriff, er, chef in town..!

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. Old regulars who bemoaned the restaurant's fate when Max sold it and were somewhat frazzled by Anthony Paone's avant-garde cuisine can now rejoice. Doug Bernstein, the new chef, brings a new, "roadhouse-like" menu and executes it... read more

We just had burgers and a BLT. It was ok. Nothing special. We were in a hurry on way to airport and just wanted to stop to get something to eat because we had not gone there before.

A venue that used to feel more intimate, all of the features that made it so, have been transformed into a large, cavernous reverberant space with hard surfaces (walls, floor, large glass windows, etc), no absorbent materials like table cloths, and accented by loud, unfortunate music. This is, of course, the heart of Sonoma Wine Country. So when it fills... More

We ate here in mid April with a party of 8 and everyone loved every course. Its very hard to stand out in the bay area but this restaurant completely surpassed my expectations. I had the lamb entre - it was one of the most flavorful, well balanced dished I have ever experience in any restaurant, including the high-end Gary... More

A friend and I ordered a selection of the small plates, and my life will never be the same. I did not know you could make brussel sprouts have the texture and variety the chef put into the dish. And I'm a brussel sprout fan. I *used* to think I made excellent bruessel sprouts, but, well, now I'm eating humble... More

We came with a large party to celebrate a once and lifetime occasion with anticipation of having memorable food, wine and service. I have to say it was memorable, we had none of the above and to top it off, it was overpriced!

Recently visited the Kenwood restaurant with a party of four. The restaurant was comfortable and not very busy. It looked like there was a nice patio for Summer lunches. We ordered drinks, and the bartender attempt at a classic cocktail was incredibly bad, it was sent back and the evening was off to a poor start. The soup that night... More

We had a very good lunch of inspired food but upon entering through the bar, the smell of cooking fuel was overwhelming and even in the dining room it was apparent. They really need to do something about it. Wish we had sat outside.

Good service and food. Beautiful views on patio of vineyards. Casually elegant indoor seating. Lots of Sonoma wines of course.
