Original, organic and orgasmic have been used to describe this local's wine country hidden gem. You have to experience what they offer. Open every day except Tuesdays service from 11:30 a.m. straight through until 9 p.m. Very authentic flavors of Spain considering the Chef/owner is Spanish Basque. You should really attend his Chef's Basque dinner on the second Thursday of every month! Family style the way the Basque restaurants of San Francisco of yesteryear used to serve. 7 courses brought to the table in tureens & platters for all to share. Much from the Chef's organic gardens nearby. Treasures from local farmers, ranchers & fisherpeople. Chef Esteban prepares & presents each course. $45 per person including Chef's homemade wines crafted from his certified organic grapes! Limited seating so reservations are a must!

Decline in Full Swing

I'm sorry to say that the Vineyard Inn has taken a nosedive. The service was sloppy, but that's okay. My meal was icy cold on the outer edges and became warmer as I reached the center. This is not good. Upon leaving, I noticed the filthy carpet going up the stairs. It actually has silver snail... read more

I know reviews of this are all over the map, but our last visit was terrific. Huge, varied menu, house-made wine on tap plus others. We had 4 items that were all great and their-made Merlot that was good too. The service was fine and there were 3 large table of guests and a couple others.

My wife and I shared a great paella at Vineyard inn. We have made this spot one of our favorite places in Kenwood. Excellent food here and service is just fine too.

Had steak tacos here which were acceptable but in general the food here was more expensive and less value than other places on our trip.

Went here for a quick bite - didn't expect to be blown over the very tasty tapas. We have been i Spain several times and had tapas here, but the tapas at the Vineyards Inn is absolutely yummi and comparative to the authentic in Spain. Too bad we didn't know this, otherwise we would have planned a real dinner here.... More

Four of us stopped on a Friday about 1:00 for lunch on our way to a local winery. Only a couple of tables in the restaurant had guests. We were seated on the patio and were the only diners there. We ordered drinks and waited close to 10 minutes for 3 margaritas and a coke. We ordered our food and... More

Stop...do not drive by.....pull in this unassuming roadside bar and grill and enjoy a great meal with smiling and attentive staff. My wife and I with three older daughters (19-26) went in for lunch based on a local resident recommendation and our tastebuds were impressed. Menu has a great mix of of styles, tastes, and flavors from American to SW... More

Enjoy the specially prepared dinners of Basque food on the second Thursday of every month. Much of the food is fresh from the garden and it is great fun to have the chef come out and talk about the food and the joy of being Basque. If you are Basque you will know what I mean.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Vineyards Inn in Kenwood. The food and service was great. The area was beautiful...rolling hills, vineyards, etc. It was also a plus to have the owner(s) there to discuss the local area and the freshness of their menu. What a lucky find!!!

We stopped in for dinner as it was close to where we were staying. Entrees ordered were the pot roast, the chicken entree, and beef tacos. All were excellent and the meats were super tender. This place feels like a local hang out, cozy. We enjoyed our dinner here and would recommend it if you are in the Kenwood area.
