Enjoyed a great salmon dinner. Ample portions and the potatoes and vegetables were delicious, cooked perfectly. The bread is so amazing, we asked for seconds. Try the stuffed mushroom appetizer, also very good. We now live in Julian and the Julian Grille will be THE place to go for a special evening. Wonderful service too.

In a home-like environment, this restaurant is completely professional and serves good, freshly-prepared generic American food at reasonable prices.

The Julian Grille is such a pretty place to dine. An old home converted into a restaurant and the atmosphere is very special. It's is a little pricey for us, but we make it a special event by dining there. The food is very good.

Very nice place. The trout was awesome! Pasta was good too. A lot of choices but I'd go with the Chef's special, absolutely wonderful.

The Julian Grill is an off the beaten track restaurant situated in a historic town with lots of small interesting shops. The restaurant has an outside patio which is nicely shaded with a rustic atmosphere. The sandwiches are especially good; they are generously sized and a meal in themselves. The ingredients are very fresh and the options of bread are... More

This is a charming little restaurant located in an old home on the main road in Julian. We stop for lunch whenever we’re passing through Julian. We like to sit inside on the front screened porch with a view of the street activities, but there’s other inside seating too, or you can dine on the outside patio. The food is... More

The Julian Grille was recommended by our B&B host. The atmosphere was lovely - indoor and patio seating. I chose the Sweet Georgia Peach Chicken for my entre. It was quite tasty although I was surprised to see canned peaches on the chicken. Locals told me it was their favorite dish. I appreciated the good service. The price was a... More

We have been to the Julian Grille several times and always had good service and good food. The menu features some different options, but they end up pleasing most palates. It is a quaint appearing house, just near the main town intersection. Inside, the atmosphere is homey and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the size of the portions. There are... More

Went here for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday hoping it would be someplace special. It certainly has a lovely outdoor terrace right on the main street in town, but the kitchen and service just don't live up to its potential. The roast beef in the hot "Wrangler Sandwich" was grey, tasteless, and rubbery. Service was chaotic and slow. We... More
