Fancy and very good!

This place was really nice inside. It was dressier than expected, but you would be comfortable in jeans too. The food was excellent. We both would come here again for certain. It was more American type food.

This little converted "cottage" is very inviting and intimate, not many seats but the food is very good and the vibe is relaxed and calming. I loved it!

Went there for dinner on a lazy Sunday, and enjoyed the cute interior. We had a creative peach chicken dish as well as a scampi linguini entree. Both wew nicely done - good potion sizes that left us satisfied. Their outside eating area was packed for lunch; a nice end to a fun day in Julian!

My wife and I have eaten at a number of local restaurants and were pleasantly surprised at the service and great meals we had. Don't be fooled by the name as this is certainly not a grill where you would go for burgers or hot dogs. Will recommend this to our friends and will make it a point to eat... More

The only real full-service restaurant in Julian, with an excellent upscale menu and wine list. Great for a romantic dinner by the fireplace or a leisurely lunch on the porch!

We had the orange chicken with rice. Very tasty, nicely done. We watched others' food come out and listened to the comments. All were very pleased with a variety of dishes. The Reuben looked like a good reason to come back. The weather was beautiful and we opted for the outside area--a very good choice! We were there a bit... More

It was freezing outside, so it was a pleasure to step into this cute, warm little house. Tables are spread throughout the rooms. Food was delicious except for the chicken dishes that were a bit dry. But we would return.

Truth is, the word is out!! I think everyone in southern Calif. is in on this precious place in the mountains. No matter,, even if you have to wait a bit for a table, it's well worth the wait. Small, cozy, warm & friendly. The real deal though, is, the food is over the top, "TERRIFIC"!! This is probably going... More

We will return to this restaurant next time we're in Julian. The food was delightful to the eyes and palette. The menu offers beef chicken and fish (although the closed sea is quite a ways from the mountain high hamlet). What's nice about the Grille is that there are food choices for just about anyone's fancy. Prices are not too... More

I dined in this nice old house restaurant with 3 others. We all enjoyed our food, the atmosphere was very nice and our service was great. I had the Linguini with shrimp and was very surprised at how excellent it was. Perfectly spiced. I love linguini with clam sauce and this was very much like that except with shrimp instead... More
